Redesigned Site Launching April 15th, Whatcha Want Most?
You guys likin’ this site? Too damn bad! Gotta keep moving forward and my ambition stretches far beyond that of your typical blogger. Soooooooo, on my birthday, April 15th, we’ll be a launching a totally redesigned site! It’s gonna have tons of cool features, but I’d like to hear what you guys, my valued readers, want to see the most. Thanks in advance for your input!
Young Or Old, Rich Or Poor, You Will Give In To TIM
It’s interesting to see how different people react to me. My TV appearances, trading strategy, big mouth, book, DVD, blog, etc all seem to stir up a wide range of emotions. Young people love my story—it’s inspirational, trading seems fun and easy, no bosses, wear a bathrobe, don’t wear a bathrobe, whatever. They also appreciate how I’m trying to open this game up to everyone, young or old, rich or poor. People around my age are always polite to my face, but I can tell they’re somewhat to very annoyed by my non-stop TIM promotion, especially on my Facebook profile.
As for older folks—the kind of people who use the word folks—they can’t understand why a trader would ever go back to trading less than 2% of his accumulated assets over the years, unless he’s lost it all.
Is This The Magic Stock Market Formula Or Am I Fooled By Randomness?
Yesterday morning, I got rid of my short in Dara Biosciences (DARA) at $5.15 for a decent profit but called it a pathetic exit. My exit turned out to be right around its closing price and I received several emails from people trying to comfort me, saying it wasn’t such a bad exit after all. But with today’s quick $1+ drop to $4, my call in this post yesterday for that exact kind of drop and my inability to hold and let the pattern play out, I began wondering exactly how similar are all these instances of this pattern? Sure my DVD is chock full of them (see an example HERE) and lately I’ve posted about them here, here and here, but maybe it’d be helpful to post them all together for once. Or maybe I’ve been staring at my computer screen far too long and I’m Fooled By Randomness?
Lack Of Patience And Discipline Causes Trading Losses
Despite me being so gung ho telling people not to short Converted Organics (COIN) all day yesterday, I saw the fluff news this morning coupled with a lack of incredible volume, so I shorted 300 shares at $13.50, thinking it didn’t have enough juice to break the key $14 price. Now this is what a trading addict does—sets rules and break them.
