How To Make $5,000 On Zagg Inc. (ZAGG)
Posted by Timothy Sykes on Tue 13th of Oct, 2009 04:30:00 PMREMEMBER: You have until this coming Friday, October 16th, to register to attend this special event. from the comfort of your very own home or if you can’t make it live buying that 2-day pass will serve as your order for the DVD of the event, which will be 12+ hours of footage and come with an instructional !.
You see from my trades detailed on http://www.timothysykes.com/tim that I’ve been on a bit of a hot streak this week (up like $4,000), this month (up about $7,000 on trading my 2 small accounts), this year (up 94% in 1 account, up 20% since I started the Covestor auto-trade account in May), the past 2 years (up 565% making me dominate 30,000+ other traders on Covestor where I’ve held the #1 spot for nearly 2 solid years), well really the past decade (working on making my 3rd million from trading alone, already made just about a mil from this blog)!
After successfully exposing and Short Selling 3 stocks halted by the SEC in the last 3 weeks, with TIMalert subscribers and I reaping over $72,000 in trading profits from one, Genova Biotherapeutics, Inc. (GVBP), after it reopened from the trading halt at a penny/share!, I’ve been seeing quite a few Penny Stocks breaking out and I’ve done well buying those breakouts.
TIMalert subscribers get these trade alerts real-time, but you can read them waaaaaay after the fact:
Bought 4000 ZAGG at 5.50, stock is breaking out out a 2-month base…solid support in the low $5s, and it needs to close over $5.50 to be a true breakout but we have 5 very big positives:
1. they just bought waterproofing technology for electronics that’s an investor’s dream (even if it doesnt work, the perception is perfect and the videos are a great selling point)
2. potential NASDAQ announcement, should’ve happened in September so maybe today’s big up day is due to people who know something (it’s fun to piggyback!)
3. their product is piggybacking Apple Inc. (AAPL) hot iPods and Reach In Motion Ltd. (RIMM) hot Blackberries…right place right time, earnings should continue to be outstanding
4. the overall stock market is on fire, ZAGG has consolidated well and isn’t over-extended like most stocks,
5. ZAGG is growing 60%/year and only has a PE of 13…seems ridiculously undervalued fundamentally
the risk is today’s price/volume jump is just a few overly aggressive speculators and it fails so i’m willing to cut my losses for a 20-30 cent/share loss, but even if I’m wrong, this one has such storng support right below here, it’d take some very negative news (which could always happen, but its unpredictable) to really hurt me here and my upside target is $1/share with the possibility of it actually breaking out to the $7s or $8s if we do get NASDAQ news….obviously it’d be nice to have the stock promoters, but ZAGG fired them last month so it’s gonan take real news to push this up meaningfully…solid risk/reward on this trade
Within 3 trading days the stock did hit my $6.50 target, but I was impatient and sold out at $6.10, for a $2,400ish profit…TIMalert subscribers banked another $2,400:
out ZAGG +$500ish, not my kind of play AT ALL, so I’m not going to get greedy.
