How We Made $6,000+ Short Selling The Company Selling Diluted Cobra Venom As A Pain Reliever

Posted by Timothy Sykes on Thu 1st of Oct, 2009 05:21:34 PM

UPDATE: TIMalert subscribers and I had profited $4,000ish on the 20% drop in stock price, but today, after I covered my share, the stock is down another 30%! (Yes, I often underestimate how dead on my research is)….at least one TIMalert subscriber stuck around and made $2,000+:

+$2043.50 on NPHC Mucho Gracias Tim. Your recent company exposés have been excellent.

UPDATE 2: These research reports, the only REAL ones in penny stock land, have been free for the past few weeks…but no more…you have to contact me with your name and email address if you want to be put on a special list to receive such time consuming penny stock research

Maybe you saw my in depth research reports on this latest scummy penny stock I found, Nutra Pharma Corp. (NPHC), in which I took a small exploratory short position of 10,000 shares yesterday morning at 85 cents/share, was a $180 million company with ZERO cash and whose upcoming pain reliever Cobroxin, literally diluted cobra venom, which has never been mentioned in any of the company’s SEC filings until it won best product award at some rinky dink conference and whose message board and gullible penny stock miracle cure investors hype has spiked the stock price 2,000% in one month, is to be exclusively marketed and distributed by another company with ZERO cash (and whose board NPHC’s CEO sits on…shadyyyyy).

Yah, I’ve waaay too much digging, but I can’t help myself…when I smell a stench from a carcass penny stock, I can’t help but poke around and what I found I posted in my followup research report this morning–NPHC’s CEO is a mad scientist who believes volcanic ash can cure cancer (zeolites!), was chief guru behind a shady MLM, the company which shares the same EXACT addresss as NPHC, has been accused of plagiarism, rebuked by the FTC and NPHC’s former chief auditor has been on PBS due to the fact that his old copany embezzled tens of millions of dollars (he got off conviction, but apparently was involved in several civil suits)…grrrrr, it doesn’t matter anymore, read my whole 2nd research blog post, I’m out of this stock now, having taken my profit of $1,500ish late afternoon today, predicting this nice chart fade (helped by the overall market getting wrecked today) and TIMalert subscribers profited nicely, $2,500+, too although shares were a bit hard to come by and so several TIMalert subscribers have emailed and IMed me saying their own research leads them to become long-term short sellers in this piece of crap company (their words not mine)…

Congrats everyone, the longs on this stock are too drunk off company hype to want to see reason, but we all know when a stock goes up 2,000% and begins to fade, especially when the company is fundamentally incompetent, management has a checkered past and their own SEC filings (which 99% of penny stock investors don’t know how to read) state they’re not even sure they’ll be in business in a month, well, the trade favors Short Selling:

When the NPHC blinked into the borrowable for a few minutes on IB in the closing hour, I kept dipping in for another 1000... and another 500... and another 500... and another 1000...

I fall in love with these shorts like a value investor falls in love with his buy and hold... I cannot believe I am holding this overnight. Hope it goes to zero.
