Why Did The Last 4 TIMalert Subscribers Cancel Their Subscriptions?
Posted by Timothy Sykes on Mon 28th of Sep, 2009 04:30:24 PMUPDATE: Today was a record day for TIMalert subscribers as we banked perrrrfectly on the EMGE pump & dump & the Rodman & Renshaw Capital Group Inc. (RODM) breakout (alerted at $5.65, sotck closed at $6.18…altogether, $6,000+ in trading profits for me and $40,000+ in TIMalert subscriber profits…details coming soon…
In an effort to make me a better newsletter write and you guys better subscribers, it’s good to post about what happened when a TIMalert subscriber cancels his/her subscription.
Obviously I wish other newsletters would be this open too, but finance is an industry full of greedy, cowardly, and most times fraudulent people so, and I’m serious here, if you subscribe to any newsletter or premium website, don’t just ask but DEMAND to see all their trades and investments (in a nice organized manner like this page), their track record and to see why some subscribers canceled. If they refuse you on any of those, close up your wallet, and if you’re in person, you have my permission to smack them across their rich lying faces and tell ‘em that’s from Timmay! Over time, we’re gonna change this snakeoil ridden industry whether the scumbags like it or not!
Anyway, check out what went wrong with these TIMalert subscribers below, you can see a previous detailed review from another subscriber in this blog post, another former TIMalerts subscriber canceled HERE and you can even learn why these 10 subscribers canceled a few weeks prior…still got about 1400 subscribers total and realize the top 2 reasons it doesn’t work out is because people are too busy with family, job, life and/or they have the wrong broker…
The good news is I’ve patched this hole up by offering auto-trading to anyone with $10,000+ for a tiny 1.5% annual management fee through Covestor…you can talk with the Covestor people to set that up and you can see from my auto-trading performance page that I’ve made about 2%/month (although past performance blah blah blah)…not huge numbers, but it’s a conservative strategy…understand that
OK, enough blabbing, here are the reasons for the latest 4 TIMalert subscribers canceling:
Sorry tim, you’re the man.. but my plans to start investing in the market are gonna have to be placed on hold. I’ve got some debt I need to clear out first. I’ve learned alot though so far, the price will be worth it when I come back, even at $50. Thanks again, keep it up and good luck.

Sorry, no I don’t really want to quit. My problem is I never even started. I bought your first set of DVDs six months ago and I still have not watched them. Work, school, and family are leaving me with no time. I hope to get started once I finish my Doctorate. Penny Stocks and shorting seem like a game I would have fun with. I just need time to sit in front of Thinkorswim and do some training. I plan to come see you in New York for private training, but I have to push through and get this degree done. Trust me though, I’ll be back. I pride myself in finishing everything I start.
Thanks for everything Tim. You Rock,
Rick
It is very too bad that you have a great system that I cannot seem to profit from. I know it is a great system because I’ve read your book, seen your dvds and witnessed TIMalerts subscribers profit (as I also have but the losses have been much bigger). My job requires that I am available for any meetings that may come up, which makes it very hard to trade your system comfortably. I got off to a great start profiting about 10% within the first month. This led to some undisciplined trading mainly because whenever I did have the time to trade I forced myself to see setups that were non-existent.
It all started with the trade of Sinovac Biotech Ltd (SVA) a few weeks back. I shorted the stock one day and was up about 20 cents a share near days end. I had a day trade left but I thought I saw a perfect downtrending chart so I decided to hold overnight to preserve my daytrade. Long story short it had overnight news and I lost a good chunk on the trade when I shouldve made good money. After this unfortunately you ran into a streak of losses and I could not get shares to short of GVBP from ToS. The last Rentech, Inc. (RTK) trade put me under my mental stop loss for my portfolio.. Really the PDT rule killed me, using to cut losses and not having day trades left for winners. This is more like the breaks u took in your book.. I am new but I want to learn some more before I trade again. I would do a one day coaching w you but it costs about the same as the size of my current portfolio. I hope to be back as a subscriber in the future, maybe after I’m comfortable enough to fund my account w 25k or find a good proprietary trading broker. I do want to thank you for enlightening me about the stock market, and wish you the best.
Thanks,
-Dave K
I’m sorry as well, I’d like to remain a subscriber but:
-My broker Questrade here in Canada sucks balls for shorting stocks.
In the 6 months that Ive been with them I have not gotten one single
short order filled.
-I’d like to switch to IB or Thinkorswim but I simply dont have enough to open
an account. (+- $3500 min for Canadian accounts with IB)
-I Started with $1000 that was just kicking around 6 months ago and
even though ive made some gains, my capital is not enough to keep me
in the game…
I could for sure see me subscribing again once I have a REAL
brokerage… although, Im visiting Brazil for xmas and new years and
cant see myself coming up with enough cash until after that… Not
being bound by the day trade rule here in Canada makes trading very
attractive, so you can bet ill be working hard to make sure I can
raise the few G’s needed to get the IB or Thinkorswim account. Right now, the
only usefull thing I get from your service is access to the chat and
alert commentary by the community which i enjoy very much but am just
not into spending the 30 USD just for that…
In a sense it’s good that i’m being forced to the sidelines, gives me
a few months to re-educate (Although I fear the market will not be as
attractive by then)…
