What Is DateTwit?

REMEMBER: This special offer ends Friday September 11th, take advantage of it now because it really will make you a more profitable and knowledgeable trader…and you might have a little fun there too :)</s

Do you remember how well produced/filmed my original PennyStocking DVD package was? The firm who did it was Wall Street Media and the guy behind WSM is Doug Estadt…in an industry full of assholes, this is one genuine, dependable and trustworthy guy.

I sent him some questions about his latest venture:

1. What is Datetwit, why should people use it?

DateTwit.com is a dating site built on top of twitter. it does all the standard things a dating site does and allows you to see pics and profiles of members BUT the big differentiating factor is that people can click on any member and see their posts on twitter and get a vastly better feel for the person than the usual “I like walks on
the beach” nonsense traditional dating sites provide. You’re going to gain much more insight into how compatible you might be with someone through their Twitter posts than you ever would anywhere else.

The most unique and original feature of DateTwit is that you can send a virtual smile or drink to anyone on twitter you might take a liking to and see if/how they respond and do it via DateTwit.com
so we handle it as intermediary and hence it’s out of the public glare so you don’t burn your social media capital.

2. What’s it been like building a Twitter app?

It was great to be able to build on twitter’s open API…bit of a pain when Twitter goes down from time to time, but it’s early days and only improving by the hour.

3. Where do you see DateTwit and Twitter heading?

I think DateTwit and Twitter will both continue to grow exponentially. We just beta launched in April and are adding features as fast we are growing and I think Twitter is doing the same. It’s early days, but feels like the gold rush must have felt back in the day with just unlimited potential and better yet, the twitter audience is smart and helpful and vocal with great ideas and priceless feedback.

4. Any great success stories with DateTwit yet? Eharmony-style

Lots of new pals and lots of dates, smiles and drinks flying through
the Twitter ether but no wedding bells yet…er, uh, ahem, didn’t you and Daleela meet on datetwit.com…. ha-ha.

5. Give us your top 4-5 stock picks right now and why do you like them!

I am in United States Natural Gas Fund, LP (UNG) - nat gas is ridiculously underpriced. If you look at today’s closing price it was like 2.94 while in the Nymex futures for Jan 10 are around 5.30 that’s about a 60% increase which I will gladly sit and wait to arrive. I worry about regulation messing it up somehow, but I am confident natural gas prices will rise substantially at some point, sooner or later.

I am in Brookfield Properties Corporation (BPO). I got this one from Todd Sullivan of Valueplays. It is a very well managed company with an extremely low P/E of 5.8 and a dividend of 5.4% to pay me while I wait for them to grow. I think they are a great example of a good active value investing play in a range bound market.

I am in VIVUS, Inc. (VVUS). I think the next revolution will be biotech. There are
so many great plays right now with companies having very promising drugs in phase III and VVUS is one of those. They have Qnexa which will treat obesity and hopefully also diabetes and that’s supposed to wrap sometime this quarter. you need to have a basket of biotech’s as they are close to all-or-nothing plays so you must balance your holdings and manage your risk carefully.

I am in China Marine Food Group Ltd (CMFO). They just moved from the OTC to the AMEX. When you guys were in Beijing did you go to “snack street” it’s where all the Chinese yuppies head each evening to stroll and socialize and the treats they enjoy are just what CMFO makes. Very low P/E of 9.9 and they’re already in like 2200 retail outlets and i see great growth ahead of them.

I’m already up around 280% in General Growth Properties, Inc (GGWPQ) (this is another one from Todd Sullivan) but I am holding a bunch of it and waiting for them to get through the Chapter 11 hearings hopefully sometime next winter. This is another all-or-nothing play as it could go to 0 at any time based on the proceedings but there are some big smart people in this one looking for it to emerge without wiping out the common stock.
