I just made $1,500 shorting VG from $2.27 (now at $1.35ish), putting me up like $8,000, or 10% on the month, & TIMalert subscribers just banked $50,000+, YES FIFTY THOUSAND PLUS DOLLARS, correctly shorting Vonage Holdings Corporation (VG) for a 30%+ one day gain…I’ll have all the individual testimonials later, but right now it’s 2:41AM Thailand time so I’m just gonna re-post a solid answer when someone asked how to short this stock at a broker like TD Ameritrade:

Kelly-

I also use TD Ameritrade but I have no issues Short Selling.

First - you have to enable your account to margin trading. Just simply opening an account with TDA does not mean you are able to short sell. I believe its under account options that will enable this feature. They will make you acknowledge the risks of Short Selling.

Second - You must have a minimum of $2,000 dollars available to trade with or short with.

Third - TDA will not allow you to short OTC BB or Pink Sheet type stocks.

Fourth - When you initially fund your account and enable margin trading, you will have to wait 3 business days before you can short sell.

Fifth - You can’t reserve shares to short like what Tim recommends. You simply have to take a chance that shares will be available. if they are…then great. If not, then you will have to wait for the next opportunity or keep checking (by placing short sell orders) to see if shares become available.

FWIW…I had no issues Short Selling VG or RTK…

Hope this helps,

Jon

Tried shorting VG the other day through TDA:
"Shares of this security are not available for shorting."

Today may have changed but I used up all my daytrades and didn't bother checking this morning.

tim i dont think you understood what i was suggesting on livestock. If you teach people more stuff in blog posts, rather than just say 'you'll know this if you buy blah blah blah' then they will more than likely buy from you as they know you teach good stuff, teach some free lessons in posts and you'll be surprised
  • i really dont care if people buy from me, i aint gonna repeat myself over and over, one of the small pleasures of being real

uhh you were asking for marketing idea i remember? you said that you wanted to hear some ideas about how to boost your sales as they aren't doing well at the moment?

although if you ask me i think 120k a month is probably more than enough
  • jammy, you should read Tim's book, blog, emails, etc if you want to find out what he's about and pick up some freebie tips. I read a single blog post about Tim on another blog, looked a bit at his site and bit the bullet on Pennystocking part 1 (with all of the other courses following shortly thereafter). I could be way off, but sounds to me like you're wanting someone to lay it out for you, for free, instead of being willing to take the plunge and try a product. he offers a money back guarantee, so what do you have to lose?

lol i have bought PS1 a while ago and it was great- hence why im mentioned in the reviews section of it.
he was asking about marketing strategies, i just suggested that people will more than likely buy his DVDs if they know he teaches good stuff in the first place....
  • Ahh, that makes sense. I get what you're saying though. Always a tough balance between the freebie stuff and paid stuff.
