My book An American Hedge Fund already has 200+ reviews which you can read HERE (the Amazon reviews calling it ‘the worst book ever’ are ugly because stock promoters tried bashing to keep me down…seriously, all the bad ones are from 4-5 people, long story, not worth explaining/fighting (I’d appreciate if you left a review on Amazon HERE!), but here are the 5 latest ones I’ve received by email, blog, all over the place:

I’m listening at the moment your book An american hedge fund and i think it is great.

(OH Yes, there’s an audio version too, see iTunes or click HERE)

I’ve seen his educational DVD’s and Tim gives tons of information. He admits that he’s messed up, that he is not a great trader, but I’ve never met any trader who is so willing to declare to the world what he’s done wrong and what we need to change in order to do better than him. I’m also amazed at the amount of additional information he gives about his experience in the Finance world. Most professionals in that business are really two-faced and fake. They would never call things with their real names. The only way I can explain this about Tim is that he never worked for anybody in this industry and never had to trade his integrity to be successful.

I finished reading your book and I am totally on the same boat as you in terms of getting investors. My friend read your book too and he said you reminded him of me, on that getting investors phase.

just finished reading your book and gained further clues to your Entrepreneurial spirit which probably eclipses 99.9% of your subscribers.

THIS blog’s review is a good overview:

What it is

It is a life story of how one person got started in trading and then started his own hedge fund. I think that is why I enjoyed reading it so much. I don’t have any stock trading experience and this book really allowed me to see how these “day traders” really operate. Mr. Sykes does an excellent job of portraying how things happened to setup his eventual fall from being one of the top performers out there. If you know little about investing, Short Selling, and hedge funds you are certain to have a better understanding of it when you finish reading this story.

What it is not

This is not a guide on investing or Short Selling. If you are looking to learn how to read charts and track and trend stock prices this is not the book you are looking for. It provides only a high level view of what Timothy did on his individual trades not in depth analysis of each trade and what he looked for. This book tells you how he started his hedge fund and the obstacles he encountered in trying to get investors. If you are looking for an investment guide, go look elsewhere.

Best book ever. Appropriatly, the second half goes down in steam, mirroring your trading success and the stock patters you like to play.
  • I'll have to read this book. Going to order it through ITunes for my long drive to Arizona this week.

I already reviewed your book on amazon, but yeah An American Hedge Fund is a really interesting book. It's one of those books where you'll finish in one sitting because you feel so involved in the plot.
