JAZZ finally broke out past $5…grrrrrr…I was taking a train back from Connecticut to NYC when that spike happened, welcome to trading…if you’re not gonna be around 24/7, expect to miss some beautiful trades…I’m glad I mentioned this potential breakout over and over and over so a few TIMalert subscribers profited from the TRUE GIMME breakout once it broke $5 convincingly (strong volume and price action)…sorry guys, I totally blew this gimme, hating myself right now as it’ll probly run to $7+
BLC is the latest newspaper-type play to surge…up 17% to $3…remember what I said the other day, still holds true:
BLC isn’t quite a newspaper stock, but they own TV stations and the chart is a multi-month breakout…just barely…LEE is another player in this space that’s surging…considering how much pure plays JRN and GCI have runup, that opens the door to these smaller players for massive runups
CBIS is trying to get people to use weed to treat swine flu…seriously, check it out HERE…I love this pump & dump, up from 5 cents to $1+ now in a few days…they know how to get PR, God bless these manipulative potheads, this is my top potential short, but finding shares is gonna be tough and hopefully they can pump it up more!!!
CHINA I shorted 2,500 shares in my longer term account into the morning spike at $3.77…risky, but I kept my position small…for this trade you MUST have read my book “An American Hedge Fund”, focusing on the IIJI trade where that same type of Asian internet company with horrific fundamentals pumped itself up to try to increase its exposure before raising capital….their IPO in their home country FAILED…I have little doubt that CHINA’s financing will be just as much hype before falling flat…remember, this is a company with -13% revenue growth this year, 4% next, it’s a dog with fleas, as is reflected in its longterm chart with resistance at $4…of course price action was strong yesterday so there’s no reason to believe this won’t gap higher (as its done the past 3 days)…then it’s question of how much…this company is such a piece of trash, I know it’s bad to short into stocks going straight up, but I might average up on my short on this one, risk is earnings next week so I might also take puny profits quick, gotta see based on price action
