Posted by Timothy Sykes on Tue 9th of Jun, 2009 03:30:34 PMThis was sent to TIMalert subscribers the night before today’s trading session so they could be FULLY prepared:
TIM trading account—now stands at $58,513, up $700ish in June after making $350ish on my small HEB position, took my profit to reduce risk of FDA news, no positions, don’t force trades when there aren’t any perfect plays, account is now up 372% in the last 18 months.
Longer Term Account $50,737, up $737 since $50,000 on May 1, 2009 inception, no positions.
Finally a boring day, thank God, I needed a rest! The only truly worthy plays yesterday were AGEN & XTNT, I couldn’t find XTNT shares to short and AGEN I somehow missed due to all my other projects going on. My bad, it happens….which is why you should learn to trade on your own & do better than me! Two TIMalert subscribers did:
Playing it like a castrated choir boy, but full out AGEN on that weak uptick.
+$1760.00
-T.B.
short XTNT 1.68 1000 shares… (stock closed at $1.40)
-P.
AGEN was a great morning panic from $2.30 to $1.80, then it did nothing…this morning panic was predictable as it follows the EXACT pattern outlined in my PennyStocking Part Deux DVD, made possible by taking out the $2.50 key support and morning lows on Friday afternoon…gotta plan ahead kiddos, learn the patterns already…myself included! At least Tim Bohen listens, he made $1760 and a video detailing the gain, which pays for this DVD combo package and he’s already up I wanna say $20,000 form my stuff, right TB?
MRM which had surged on the back of great earnings from $4 to $12 in May and started to fade the past few days, broke out to new highs on strong volume…I considered buying around 2pm-ish on the breakout of $12, but it’s come so far so fast, I didn’t necessarily believe it could pull off DDRX-type action…gotta learn to trust the chart more and leave my petty human thoughts at the door.
UTA, another Superman pick, has now surged from $6 to $11 the past few weeks, let it keep going, this will be a potential short if it pulls off a super spike…whether I short or not, I definitely won’t chase to buy, never chase.
HEB squeezed up from $275ish to $3ish from the get go and stayed there…I covered premarket at $3, taking a 25%+ profit from my short at $4.18, not because I don’t think it goes lower, but I don’t want to risk my profits into FDA news…I’d put the odds of it going higher 35/65 or 40/60 (drug news, PRs, and medical journals are meaningless, only crazy suckers who never really win over time, preferring instead to forget the vast majority of time they lose in order to highlight their lesser wins) play stocks with such low odds of success….either way…I had a great trade, especially on a risk-reward basis, now it’s done…I’l look to play it after we know FDA news, next!
RSOL continued its Friday run, which spiked the stock from $2 to $3 after a $30 million contract, performing a perfect morning spike yesterday from $3 to $4…I guess the news is real for this still only $70 million company (I doubt all penny stock PRs, but price action after a contract usually is reliable)…no play here, I don’t want to short a fundamentally sound company, but neither will I buy and over-extended stock (conflicting variables, understand?)
SHLO is the strange metal maker that keeps surging, now up from $2.5 to $4.50 in 2 days on 120,000 shares…definite potential short if and when volume/price action fades…nobody seems to know why its up…dangerous to short the unknown, ‘d prefer a clear pump & dump, so I’m just watching now.
NGHI tried to be promoted by StockPreacher, but this promoter has become incompetent so even when he pushed the stock up from 47 to 55 cents, ‘twas a great short all the way down to 37 cents…these are penny games, not worth my time looking at or writing about.
ANPI & ARNA both ahs positive drug news and their stocks were up 40% and 25%, respectively, yesterday, but ARNA’s climb built over the course of the day while ANPI spiked at the market open and then faded…both are potential shorts, but ANPI isn’t up enough to interest me and ARNA hopefully will keep gaining momentum…neither are very likely trades for me, just watching.
SYMX has really faded now, first down day, considered shorting, but had to think twice considering how my first attempt at shorting it on its first down day ended…support at $1.3
PALM might have its real first negative day yesterday since its new product hype, but is this the start of a trend? Tough to call since it’s a real company and there’s tons of technical support everywhere, but I am considering it for a potential short, definitely in my longer term account…definitely not a buy whatsoever.
SPNG just keeps going, now up another 4 cents to 14 cents on increasing volume, good job pumpers…I’m telling you guys, there’s far more upside in buying these things than shorting them, but I’m just not comfortable buying and holding something so lowly priced/sketchy
