THIS IS A SPONSORED POST BUT I ONLY WANT TO FEATURE GOOD COMPANIES/PRODUCTS…IF YOU THINK YOU’RE WORTHY, CONTACT ME HERE

Normally I think prop firms–firms which give you $ to trade–are total scumbags, but I’ve actually only heard good things about Cy Group Online (if you’ve heard anything good or bad, please post a comment below!), so here’s a descrption of their firm:

We provide 100k of FIRM’s daytrading capital to new members. There are allowed to use this any way they wish to make their profits during market hours. Our platform is nasdaq platinum certified, a direct access trading software that hits many ecns and exchanges including new ecns like iseq, nsx, bx, and getco. These are all routes most professional traders haven’t even heard of. This allows traders to hit and be more liquid on their entries and exits. We don’t charge software or monthly desk fees. Remote trading from home is allowed.

To join all traders pay a 5k membership fee that can be refunded at any time if the trader plans to leave. There is a one time closing fee of 200 dollars when a members quits. Profit withdrawals are very easy, all automated online so no hassle of dealing with anybody when requesting your profits. We are all about being profitable and providing our members with all the tools necessary to maximize their profits in this volatile market.

One of the greatest advantages of joining a firm like ours is if you are profitable, and need more capital (example need 500k of daytrading capital) this can be arranged. All new traders start off at 98% payout. 2% of profits go to the firm. When the traders get profitable and need more capital etc, we usually negotiate so a larger chunk goes to the firm, 90/10, 80/20 etc… depending on how much capital the firm is risking. When brand new traders lose 3 to 4k right off the bat, we typically freeze the trader and let him go.

We have been around for close to 5 years now and keep trader satisfaction our highest priority. We are a team of professional programmers and traders that also trade along with our traders. If any more questions please don’t hesitate to ask. You can probably search our firm at sites like elite for reviews.

I know paying $5k upfront, using leverage & borrowed money ain’t something I’m about to recommend anytime soon–I hate debts/borrowing from others and leverage, but that’s just me, the ultra-conservative penny stock day trader.

By trading the firm’s money, Cy Group does allow you to bypass the pattern day trader rule, so while I can’t personally advocate them, their firm concept is one I gladly feature, hopefully the comments will below will shed more light on them as I know InvestorsLive in particular has good things to say…

  • Yes Tim, there's about 40-45 current members in chat who are using them and no complaints.... they help teach risk management as well - Just going from 5k and 3-4 trades a week to 5k and ability to take your loss and move on his a huge jump - there's no need to get the full leverage
  • and short list is great
  • Wes
So there are no monthly fees? What about commissions?
  • Neal
This sounds interesting to me. I wonder what their selection process is like. Great opportunity for someone with the skills but not much money.

    Thanks for posting Tim.

Thanks for this, i have been looking into the jump to prop or a more professional platform with access to capital. The retail side the software just doesnt cut it for me. Looking at their website, looks like they hit dark pools. They even have ecns that i haven't even heard of. Very interesting. I wonder full ecn rebates?
  • Their website states new traders only get 70% payout to start and can get as high as "high" as only 90%. Doesn't sound like a very good deal to me there are other prop firms i know of that have 100% payouts. Above in your article it say 98% payout which wouldn't be that bad.

    So.... whats the real #?
  • younggunz
What prop firms are you referring to that pay out 100%?
  • Cameron you get 100% of profits made - there isn't any cut

The only time there is a profit share is if they bring you on as a trader for the first and allow you to trade THEIR capital at ZERO risk to you - where you are then on a salary for $X/month +50% profits and absorb 0 losses

There's no hidden/sketchy/fine print - their whole model is to scope out good traders and offer them positions to trade the firm's money, we have 45+ maybe almost 50 now after we had a webinar with CY Group again last week

There biggest "catch" is there is a $200 dollar fee upon closing
  • I've been a member of Cy since December. I was the first person from the IU chat room to join. I've been very happy with them so far.

I called them and they told me its 98% payout if i pay to be their member. And yes sounded like a 200 dollar closing fee was the only "catch". I am actually suprised i just found out another friend of mine is a trader for them. When I asked him he sounded like he had no complaints about them, he's been with them for a year now.
