SNBP was StockPreacher’s pick yesterday, he manipulated it higher from 60 cents to 77 cents, some TIMalert subscribers profited by buying quick and selling into the dumb email buying, then unfortunately, there were no shares to short…300 comment blog post basically debating the merits of the strategy of buying pump and dumps, blah blah blah, c’mon you TIMalert subscribers, grow up, learn from those who make consistent VERIFIED profits…buying SP’s pumps is profitable for a few minutes so it’s a worthwhile strategy if you have the speed to pull it off…Reaper and InvestorsLive make decent $ doing this…of course, it’s not good for alerts, but there are different kinds of trading setups.
TEN got upgraded premarket by Goldman Sachs yesterday so I knew my overnight short of 2000 shares at $6.38 would be underwater…goal was to cut losses quickly, as I cut losses when the patterns don’t go EXACTLY the way I wanted…tried to cover at $6.70 at the market open, but didn’t get executed so I covered at $7…nasty loss of $1200ish, but overnight news can never be predicted…good news is I cut losses before the stock squeezed to $7.50…even better news is TIMalert subscribers did a better job of cutting losses, some premarket in the $6.50 range…brilliant! I will do this trader over and over again because the setup was great, as evidenced by EVERY other auto-plays that weren’t upgraded by GS like AXL and TRW tanked 10%+ right at the market open…no play here either way now, stock looks strong, but its overall sector looks weak, no play…right now.
CBOU and DDRX both tanked early yesterday, but surged throughout the day…I hate shorting solid/real companies, pump and dumps don’t come back like this! I’d neither buy nor short sell either of these plays here, no edge either way now that they’ve consolidated nicely, next!
HEB surged 30%+ premarket yesterday to $2+, but tanked 50% from that level withint he first 5 minutes of the market open after their 9:29am press release basically saying they used their massive manipulated runup to pull off a PIPE deal with institutional investors at discount prices, classic carcass company tactic, I love th corruption…just wish they had better timing rather than ruining it for all short sellers unless I took a chance premarket (thought about it, but hesitated
CORS is just a distressed bank, that was up 160% yesterday to $1/share…I could care less, it’s pure gambling
CVVT is a piece of crap OTCBB company, now up from $1.50 to $3 in the past few days…4 rules: never trust OTCBB stocks, never trust Chinese companies, never trust OTCBB stocks that runup, never trust Chinese stocks that runuo…so yes, this is a potential short four times over..good luck finding shares to short though, just like MCTH
MCTH tanked a fully predictable 25% yesterday…only market makers ( who are allowed to short ANY stock) profited form this inevitable breakdown of a manipulated runup…yes, it gets extremely frustrating not find shares time and again, but you get used to that disappointment…Short Selling is a disappointing…but it costs you nothing but a little time to try to find shares to short and the few times when you do find shares, it’s a high percentage short and it’s easy money…next!
AXL is my perfect kind of chart pattern to short, $1 to $4 in 3 days, now its tanked 25% to $3, perfect morning panic yesterday then gradual downtrending all day…scary similar chart to TEN, same industry too…and TEN squeezed…I didn’t short this one not because of how TEN turned out—I’ll never be able to predict overnight news—but because it’s already down so much in one day…methinks there’s a solid chance of a morning squeeze, which then I’d consider shorting into…if no squeeze, I’ll short when it cracks $2.90 and be aware that it might crack too quick for any alert, so LEARN TO ANTICIPATE THESE PATTERNS.
ZAGG continued its surge yesterday morning to $4.20, allowing several TIMalert subscribers nice exits—listed above–before rolling over and fading nicely, if not hugely in the afternoon…yes, this price action—as outlined in my PennyStocking Part Deux DVD—makes it a potential short, no support until the low $3s, but I’ll treat this very carefully considering its multi-month hyping is not a 3-day pump and dump (although this latest wave could be the final one)
BCRX dropped 10%+ yesterday to $2.60 and has all but filled the gap from $4+ back to the low $2s…shoulda woulda coulda simply held this short for the past few weeks, but as you know this one was choppy and scary to short over any period of time…lesson learned, that’s why I have a $50,000 longer term trading account sitting and waiting for plays like these…next!
VNDA broke out above a multi-day base….awesome, simply awesome…this can run big if their drug is really as good as the price action suggests, meaning it’s a potential buy, but I’d never hold the stock short or long overnight as news could devastate me more than any chart pattern could ever indicate.
