Now These Are What Drives Me…
Posted by Timothy Sykes on Mon 13th of Apr, 2009 03:05:32 PMGot this comment a few weeks back and it makes me very proud:
Hey Tim,
I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know that you and your company are extremely professional and I’m very impressed with how quick you and Jo-Ann respond and take care of things. Don’t ever change this. Because it’s a huge asset in business.
I just finished watching your PennyStocking DVD package again and I want to thank you for making all of your DVD products available. I will be buying them all in the very near future. I have to say after watching it for the first time last year I thought it was ok but since I was making money consistently I overlooked all the great stuff that is in it. I also realize how valuable what you offer is. You’re right. There is nobody else teaching this stuff.
I almost quit trading last week and I wanted you to know that you’re the inspiration I needed to keep going. I have owned and sold a number of businesses but never have been in a business like trading.
My first trade was a tip from an employee. His friends uncle is a stock promoter. That trade was in 2004. The symbol was VDWB. I had an unrealized profit of $667,000 at the high and was holding out for a million dollars. Ha! By the time I sold all the shares I had a realized profit of $436,000. Amazing. Man I wish I still had that money… After that first trade I have been trading OTCBB and PINK SHEETS every day looking for pump and dumps. I have been in many in the last few years. I have profited every year since that first trade with capped gains of 30k to 40k a year. Glass ceiling. Anyway I quit trading last year for 6 months to focus on other business ventures and because I felt trading was consuming my life and that I was actually addicted to it.
I started back trading this year and have been doing horrible. I have a 30% winning ratio that used to be 70% every year. It seems like every trade I enter turns in to a losing trade even when I was up. It’s like when I buy a stock I’m buying the top and if I shorted it instead I would be making money.
I wrote all this to you because I wanted you to know how much I appreciate what you are doing. You’re keeping me in the game. I have such an incredible passion for trading but when I lose trade after trade I start to think maybe I’m not cut out for it. By learning from you and seeing your same passion for Penny Stocks and trading it gives me drive to continue trading and follow your system since all of my trades were always a gut feeling with no system.
Thanks again!
Jay
Jay, thanks for the comments, it’s much appreciated. My Mom JoAnn and I work our butts off to make and ship these instructional trading DVDs because we know how important the lessons they teach are. We know that 90%+ of traders lose $ every year and we know the reasons vary from overtrading to discipline issues to just a lack of experience and know how.
We also know that while I’m no means the best trader in the world (don’t let the #1 out of 20,000+ traders on Covestor for the past year fool you!), my decade-long experience as an independent trader, 30,000+ emails from wannabe traders over the last 2 years and ability to ignore Wall Street norms and cut through all the BS add up to create just about the best damn instructional DVD experience.
Guys, I’m just getting warmed up, keep on learning, keep on earning! Check out some testimonials I got today already:
Bought 5000 APWR at 6.33 sold at 6.49 just under 800$ profit. total
profit from TIMalerts = $2080

FIRST TIME TIM TRADE: GCI- short 700 @ 4.30, covered at 3.99. + $217. That pays for almost a year of Tim alerts on day 1..

…was waiting for the alert that never came and I made $773 after commissions on GCI. I shorted when it failed to hold $4.60, covered at $4.22 due to work, all inside an hour, pays for both PennyStocking DVDs I have—thanks Tim!
