6 Stocks to Short Sell & 1 Stock To Buy…Potentially
Posted by Timothy Sykes on Thu 19th of Feb, 2009 12:40:47 PMThe following was sent to TIMalert subscribers at 1am EST today, I know, you’re jealous:
Even in this tough market environment, the plays keep building, my laptop is buzzing with opportunities abound…check out a few sorted testimonials from TIMalert subscribers from yesterday (to give you an idea how to trade these slippery suckers):
Two small gains (ASTM+HRZ) in 2 days… $100+ on ASTM yesterday, and only $75 on HRZ this morning…pays my alerts bill for a few months, thanks timmay! –H.S.
shorted ARNA @ 6.41, cover @6.01. Thanks for the training, Tim! …you lay it out damn good in your DVD’s, I just signed up to TIMalerts so I could watch you in action –W.E.
Covered my ARNA short from $6.71 (avg price) at $6.02 for a sweet $1k profit. –Adam N
IAG is that strong gold stock that looks like it’s getting a bit too steep…if I didn’t know better, I’d be tempted to short a bit…potential short, but I’m going to try very hard to ignore this one because it’s not a pump and dump like I prefer.
ARNA is the one I’m short 2000 shares at $5.98 because it is a pump and dump…as I explained in THIS post last night
A crappy newsletter promo + CEO sugarcoated cheerleading + CNBC cameras managed to lure in lots of poor people thinking this company’s fat pill would make them rich…it’s never as good as it seems and now that the hype/volume is fading, sellers are more fortified and the stock is under $6 support….I aim to cover today between $5 and $5.50, let’s see how it acts, price action is my guide.
PSPM keeps going higher, now hitting a high of 80 cents…you bad short sellers should take note, these stocks are often great buys long before they’re great shorts…as it is, I’ve gotten emails from people claiming PSPM is being promoted to them by telephone, this is true penny stock filth, which will inevitably collapse…like a giant trash heap falling over…trying to reserve shares every day to find shares to short…if I do find shares, I won’t short outright, it’s gotta have a fading pattern first.
SIGA finished up 12 cents yesterday, consolidating its gains well…if it starts fading, might be a potential shot, but its risky
TSYS finally confirmed its breakout after several days of holding near its highs…very nice morning spike followed by pretty much nothing, this could/should be in double digits sooner than later, but judging by its messy breakout, it won’t be easy…because it’s a real company, not a pump and dump….not my kind of play, this is more random market games.
MBI separated their dirty from their clean business, gapped up nicely and held onto strength all day…this is solid fundamental news, I don’t short that or buy that…please stop emailing me about this stock, thanks!
AZC has run from 50 cents to 90, could be a good upcoming short considering the ugly long-term chart and multitude of bitter shareholders.
