You Can Profit From Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. (BBBY) Desperation With Their Everlasting Coupons
Posted by Timothy Sykes on Sat 7th of Feb, 2009 02:05:20 PMThis is the real PennyStocking…counting pennies through coupons. I used to mock people for going to BBBY, but now that I’ve got my own place in NYC, I love it!
They’ve got everything a house could ever want and it’s all reasonably priced…somewhat. But what really gets me excited are their policies on their ubiquitous 20% off on any one item coupons–you can redeem them anytime! And when I say anytime, I mean A N Y T I M E.
A few weeks ago, I found some old–think 3 months to 3 years–BBBY receipts, collected the dozen or so 20% off any one item coupons my my mom had given me and I went to my local BBBY store and cashed in over $200 worth of cash and credit back…niiiiiiice!
They’re only strict in that you’re limited to use one coupon per item bought, but anybody who has any more than a few friends, relatives or mailing addresses should be able to collect a fair number of coupons to redeem….A N Y T I M E.
Now, I’m not sure how it works with other stores, but I think this is just crazy. Reason dictates that you should only be allowed to use the coupons at the time of purchase, or maybe a few days later if you need to return some stuff. Not months and years later, right?
As I type this, I’m looking at my new growing mountain of coupons which will inevitably go towards providing me with a few hundred dollars in discounted goods :)
