The Good & Bad News About My Latest TIMalert…

When I shorted 3000 ARTC the other day at $6.10, aiming for an afternoon fade and morning panic–as detailed in my PennyStocking Part Deux DVD, not getting it and covering quickly the next morning at $6.56ish for a $1400 loss, it was a mixed bag:

The Good:

1. Most TIMalert subscribers couldn’t find shares to short and those who did, saw that it wasn’t fading like we wanted so they actually bought the breakout at $6.50 and profited nicely, congrats guys for learning to play these stocks better than me!

2. Some subscribers did short and lost alongside me, losing a few hundred dollars each…perfectly acceptable losses as the profit goal was higher.

3. Some refused to cut losses because they haven’t learned the lessons in my instructional trading DVDs and they got really hammered…welcome to PennyStocking bitches!

The Bad:

1. Subscribers were angry my short pick went higher…sorry guys, not gonna win every time, get used to it and learn to cut losses extra quick.

2. By trying to allow subscribers to get in at good prices, I jumped the gun, shorting a stock before it broke through support–$6–on its own…really gotta wait until the stock proves it’s a worthy short, no matter if some subscribers are unhappy they miss out…gotta remember DVD students can and do anticipate these patterns so subscribers who don’t have the DVDs are missing out and will continue missing out.

3. ARTC is surprisingly similar to CLHB, a stock I detail how I got killed on in my book An American Hedge Fund…gotta learn from past mistakes, at least I cut losses quickly and am still up in January, albeit pathetically, like $700 or so.

  • yes actually it is the pattern, it just doesnt work 100% of the time, especially when bad #2 happens...so dont follow them, i dont care either way and my other subscribers will probly thank u since some think there's too many people playing this niche already!

I am trying to understand methodology and was wondering if something like PSTI or NURO fit the bill. Both have had big price spikes in a short time. Are these good candidates for shorting?

LOOKS LIKE THE FLY IS GOD AND YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A SHAMWOW HUCKSTER. THANK GOD YOU HAVE YOUR OTHER THINGS TO FALL BACK ON. MAYBE FOX BUSINESS WILL BE CALLING YOU NEXT TO JOIN THAT OTHER NUTSACK ON HAPPY HOUR.
  • yes JF, but not up enough, all patterns are detailed in my pennystocking DVD:

  • LOL, the fly is god? he cant even show himself, prove his trades are real or launch a premium service, if ever there was a blatant loser, the fly is a poster boy for failure
  • Not an idiot...
I've been reading this site for too long and not saying anything, but the stupidity has become to great to ignore.

Some dude at the top of comments said: "Tim, is this the predictable pattern that you constantly promote? I won’t follow your ShitAlerts anymore."

What an idiot.. losses are part of the game, TIM is giving you people a handout to a very good system and you all fuck it up and ask moronic questions, no trader in the world wins 100% of the time, that is impossible, and if you lost a few hundred on his alert big deal, without his system you probably would never see a profit in your life..

That last trade - isn't that also a bad message you are sending to newbees by betting too big? You threw 41% of your account at that one stock and risked an overnight - something very dangerous long or short these days! THAT is the kind of move that can wipe someone out...thus, your worst loss since you started your mission.

Bad message - need to emphasize diversification or smaller % trades of your whole.

CWST-Tim you should have hit this again when it failed at $4
  • unkown
Tim you are so right. people who don't understand the pattern in your losses and in-accuracy deserve the losses. CUT your losses on Tim by quitting the subscription idiots.
by the way that DVDes he is talking about are extremely boring. Tim maybe you can market your dvdes as a sleeping pill :)

    Tim,

You mentioned that others think there are too many people in this niche already. What do you think? If you believe there are, then you have a responsability to stop promoting a technique that may no longer work. Do you agree with them or not? What evidence do you have other than a general "nobody pays attention to pennystocking" that this can work for more and more people. Your subscribers are saying this, so something is happening. Either it is an unprofitable system, or they are right. If they are wrong, you are duty bound, since you accept their money every month, to fully explain why it doesnt matter how many people play this system. Otherwise, you are a huckster just like all the rest.
  • 20-30-40% of my assets is what i typically use, just gotta cut lsoses extremely quickly...also its not just one "technique", pennystocking is an entire way of playing hype/manipulation, long, short, short term, longterm, just havent been ANY good plays lately, it happens every few months, gotta hvae patience and not trade too much...huckster my ass
  • & no CWST doesnt interest me, not up enough, too messy a chrt
  • younggunz
Yeah I completely agree with you finally deciding to not try and trade early to let subscribers get better prices. You didn't get your awesome success by trading ahead of your key support points don't fucking do it just to let people with timalerts to get good prices.

If the trade truely breaks the key points in the patterns that have been your bread and butter there will be plenty of time for other people to get in or ride the last half atleast...Those that decide to get in well below the alert price are taking that risk...If they are too dumb to know the risk they are taking they deserve to get burned.

People have had to problem making good money with your picks when you stuck to your rules and were patent to wait for all the signals to line up. I don't know why you started trying to get in a little early on account of your alert subscribers. It doesn't do any of them any favors if the stock ends up not breaking the level you decided to trade ahead of and ends up bouncing off support and squeezing you.
  • I "imagine" leading people off a cliff and losing $1400 is a humbling experience. However it's only "imaginary" since you will always blame the victims regardless of whether your pick was shit or not. By your method, none of your picks are ever shit, only shitty traders fail to profit from your shit picks. Even if you fail. That's pretty shitty!

I just read your book, and this is my first visit to your website kinda cool.
    GO GATORS!!!!!!!!! LOL
  • Florida
You guys should just sell keys of cocaine, hit me up I'll give u wholesale prices.
MAKE CRAZZZYYY MONEY!!!!!!!!! 420 friendly too.
  • upset subscriber, my DVDs are 1/10th the prices of competing DVDs and can be paid for in 1 good trade---and if i were honest with u? WTF r u talking about, i'm the most honest guy here, u have a problem u come to me...as for promoting DVDs in every post, i guess i need to promote harder since u obviously didnt learn the lessons form one so u probly need part deux..
  • Agingteen
"I wished I would have seen an analysis of every single trade Tim does, and the possible reason for why it did or didn’t work.."-upset subscriber

    To Upset Subsrciber:
I have to wonder if you are really a subscriber. If Tim, showed analysis of "every" single trade, he wouldn't be in business...as he said you have to purchase his DVDs to learn rather than being spoon fed the information. As you mentioned you did purchased his DVDs so you should know his patterns and anticipate the trades. Just by your comment you sound stupid and you probably don't even know how stupid you are!
  • bagel
So your advertising Scottrade now even though you bash the shit out of it(compared to others). You don't like hypocrits; always bashing other bloggers about advertising what they don't believe in. Why why would you advertise a second rate discount broker alont side TOS. And forget about zecco . . .
  • timothyskes.com
upset subscriber isnt a subscriber, just a spammer-hater who cant hide his IP address showing his true useless self

scottrade isnt bad for buying penny stocks, just for shorting...zecco isnt bad either for some people, bagel, youre a moron
  • bagel
You missed the point. I use Scottrade, and have for nearly 3 years. I dont short often but when I do, I do not have any problems either. Doesn't mean I don't like Timbo, but the point is; he is being a friggin hypocrit. That is all! A$$
  • how am i being a hypocrite? i say scottrade sucks for shorting, most people suck at shorting anyways so it doesnt matter
