I’m Tired Of Talking About Myself, How Did You Do This Year?
Posted by Timothy Sykes on Mon 29th of Dec, 2008 08:05:32 AMYup, this is a first, I’m done bragging…for at least one sentence…
I’ll try hard not to mention my 250% year-to-date return and I definitely won’t rub in the fact that not one of the 10,000+ stock mutual funds is even up 1%…awww crap, there I go again!
My year end summary: started some blogging practices that are just in their infancy, got a few hundred devoted followers by making them a few thousand dollars each, dominated Covestor’s performance rankings all year long minus a few days, my DVD students gradually began moving up Covestor’s rankings and now are pretty dominant themselves (many have fallen off not because they’re not banking but because they’re using Interactive Brokers which can’t be tracked by Covestor, which sucks for me but is fine for them), created a ton of useful/helpful instructional DVDs and somehow earned 200%+ on my tiny acocunt despite obstacles galore…
Of course I did a ton wrong by being my undisciplined self (although I got better throughout the year), overtrading, overworking and not being tough enough on my blog so as to scare away the cowards who should never be trading in the first place.
No more, let’s hear how you did in 2008? Successful PennyStockers, unsuccessful ones, value investors–you friggin losers!–trend followers, swing traders, options plays, Fibonacci freaks, you’re all welcome to post your yearly % gains/losses, $ gains/losses, greatest/worst trades/investments, lessons learned…let’s get some good solid constructive comment content (for once), c’mon, I know you guys can do it!
