How I Made $3,500 Short Selling CPI Corp. (CPY) Even While Screwing It Up A Bit
Posted by Timothy Sykes on Fri 19th of Dec, 2008 07:43:44 AMSorry, this was a few days ago, but as TIMalert subscribers know, there have been several plays each and every day…
…and to make matters worse, I was in and out of CPY like five times–simply trying to find shares to short of this hard-to-borrow name, shorting when it broke through technical support, shorting aggressively into a big morning spike, covering into the market close to reduce the risk of being short the next day when a morning spiked seemd likely, missing out on a 20% drop…blah blah blah, all the usual patterns/successes/themes/failures that are detailed in my pretty-much-the-best-thing-I’ll-ever-produce (people who’ve seen it, am I right or am I right…or am I right? I could be wrong, leave some comments below!) 6-hour PennyStocking Part Deux DVD–so I’m not gonna bore you by reposting literally a dozen alerts.
(If you do want to see the alerts, signup for TIMalerts so you can get access to the subscribers-only website)
For now, look on the right hand side of the page for all my entries and exits, understand that my total profits added up over $3,500, most importantly, that all my trades were too early as I totally missed its 20%+ one day drop the other day and yesterday’s 24% drop, see the chart below and some TIMalert subscriber testimonials:
