Another Interview With An Online Entrepreneur: Christopher Milas Of PrintPrintPrint.biz
Posted by Timothy Sykes on Sun 7th of Dec, 2008 05:22:36 PMAs we’ve learned from this interview with Brian Shannon of AlphaTrends & this one with Fattie Mattie of FenwayGifts.com, it’s fun and informative to feature fellow entrepreneurs.
So here’s a guy, Christoper Milas, who started his own online print business, PrintPrintPrintBiz:
1. What’s your background?
My background is in graphic & web design and development. I used to design interfaces for large companies (including big pharma).
2. What made you want to start a print shop?
Well, I always liked paper (printing, money, etc) and I always liked to design. So, to combine both - I created a business where we sell printing on the forefront and also support our customers printing with custom graphic design. We want to be the Tim Sykes of the printing world - give affordable printing and cut through the BS of cheap quality and expensive prices. Times are tough, businesses are hurting and they need products and services like ours so they can market their products. Just look at our prices - and Tim can attest to the quality!
3. Tell us a crazy printing story
Before launching www.printprintprint.biz I used to work for a moderate sized commercial printer. When I was there, we were printing some ads that were supposed to appear in major publications (kiplingers, forbes, etc). The company is a major player in the ETF market.
So, during the design process, one of the designers used a number to an erotic hotline as a placeholder for an ad. Well, no one caught this faux number and the ad went to print. After getting several 100’s of complaints, our company got booted from the contract of printing and designing these ads (millions of $ per year). Moral of the story, don’t use porn as a placeholder.
4. What do you know about the stock market/Penny Stocks?
Just what Tim tells me! So far anyhow, I just ordered Pennystocking part 1 and the book. When I’m done with those, I am looking to begin trading (with some support of timAlerts) as well as picking up PennyStocking Part Deux for further knowledge. After learning chart patterns of these hyped companies, I will be on the lookout for my own plays.
