This was sent to TIMalert subscribers early AM:

As I said on LiveStock on Friday, bull markets, even bullish bounces, are great for my strategy because I like shorting into strength…haters will say I’m just trying to spin things, but take a look at the massive watchlist, yes, 30 stocks, below and see exactly what I mean:

LNG is my top potential short, up from $1 to $3.75, resistance at $3 is now support, more resistance at $5…reserving shares to short just in case.

CVI was $25 just a few months ago, now a double off its lows of $2, up 70% alone on Friday, definitely one of my top potential shorts.

HT is a hotel play up form $3 to $4…yeah the gain is weak because it really is that bad a company.
BEE another hotel play up from low $2s to $5

FDML is an auto-related play up from $3 to $7

SPAR is an auto play that just keeps going, watch it…

CTB $5 to $7.50 so far, no real resistance until $10ish

MTG is an insurer waaay off its lows not ideal industry for me

OMX has gone form $3 to $8 in 4 days, but everything since $5 has been earnings related…not the best for shorting

SYMM is up from $3 to $4.50, earnings play, resistance at $5

ARGN $2.50 to $5, earnings play, no thanks

TEN $2 to $5 in 4 days, earnings on Tuesday morning make this a wild card

SAH $2 to $5 on earnings, big $2 intraday spike on Friday

CBK $3.5 to $5.5 so far, no resistance until $6.50, it’s around there I’ll look to short

DIVX is up on earnings I’ll ignore it

LZB has been in freefall, one day bounce, I’ll wait to short for more strength first.

ODP has surged form $1.5 to $3.50 due to good earnings, potential short still, too big a move for a big company

VHI is up $7 to $14, just hype, definitely a potential short

GKK is up from under $1 to $2.66, support now clearly at $2.50, has a tendency to gap up big and then run in the morning then go sideways the rest of the day, c’mon, let’s squeeze those early shorts some more!

PLA nearly doubled in 1 day on Friday, ridiculous for this wannabe

STEM is up $1 to $1.40 so far, not enough to interest me with all these others in play

CROX $1.7 to $2.5, no resistance til $4, oh please, I’d love to get more strength to short one of the worst companies around.

LAVA $1.50 to $2.50, one of the best downtrending charts around, just wait for signs of reversal

SMOD is another $1.50 to $2.50er, same horrifying fundamentals.

BLDP got financing, less likely to go bust, less shortable

MERC has a big one day gain, trying to bottom? Doubtful, just a Friday afternoon short squeeze, one of my top potential shorts.

AKRX is just another crappy company, only up 20%, not enough to interest me on a day like today.

LCAV reported earnings and spiked, but its really just a bigtime Friday afternoon squeeze.

ANV $1.50 to $3.50, horrible chart, no resistance until the low $4s, love to get a short off there

    Tim,
What do you think about the advent of the Amero (check out Hal Turner"s blog). And how do you think that would effect stock trading?
  • danstyle
I just finished your pennystocking dvd. I would really like to know how you utilize three computer monitors? Why do you need three? And what do you use each of them for? Do you use a charting service or what?
Also, I appreciate your posting your library. It is quite extensive, so it would be nice to have top five or ten list, or something of that nature to get me started.
    Thanks
    PS Love your show!
  • Simi, I would short ERTS at this point - while it does seem low - it think there is still room to go lower - retailers will be hard hit this season..just my .02

Re: CROX: anyone know why it's up 28%? and when to short? tomorrow?
  • Simi
I buy ERTS because they are trading at $ 23. Earnings per share are $ 0.84 and the P/E ratio is 27.6. PEG ratio is 0,6

We are close to Christmas and new products will be launched in this period. I see the stock hitting $ 32 by the end of December.
