Been ridiculously busy lately so this successful trade sent out to TIMalert subscribers was from last week:
Shorted 1000 OCCXD at $5.10
tried reserving shares early this morning, couldn’t get any, just got 1,000 shares reserved to short–sometimes availability in these stocks open up like that—just shorted because its up from $2 the other day, classic reverse split organized pump…these guys claim they can spot eye disease by collecting people’s tears and analyzing them, would be amazing if it’s true, but 99.99999999% of the time these miracle claims are full of crap…just did a 25-1 reverse split, yes, this stock was 9 cents a few days ago (not the typical price of a company with any real potential whatsoever), fluffy PR this morning sustained this rally, doubtful that bigtime news is coming anytime soon…
big sellers overhead at $5.50, $5.40 and now $5.30…more importantly, it
had a typical morning panic to $3.50 earlier today that shows this thing can
really collapse, nice recovery so far on light volume, but it usually
doesn’t last…again, just playing the odds here, keep it a small position
since it’s still up on the day and could squeeze more…would love to double
up at $6+ or cover my position near its day lows at $3.50-$4…
welcome to PennyStocking, this is a little more illiquid than i like, but
it’s the only volatile one out there right now and i know a few other
TIMalert subscribers found shares to short too!
Covered at $4.38
covered not because i dont think its heading lower, but i had to protect myself from this surprisingly strong overall market…stock is illiquid also so it could easily have a morning spike which will enable me to get right back in above $5…more importantly, it tried to go negative on the day–i covered 100 shares at $4.05–but it couldn’t really go negative, making a potential spike tomorrow more likely…you can be damn sure i’ll be trying to find shares to short again tomorrow…
How it all played out:
Covered waaaaaaay too early as the pattern played out perfectly, ideal cover coulda woulda shoulda been in the low $3s and no I couldn’t find shares to short after my cover…no guts, no glory…left $1,000+ profits on the table, but still a $700 profit and a few TIMalert subscribers banked too:
