I just watched the DVD's for pennystocking and I had a question. What time chart does everyone use to see resistance/support levels to buy and short? Since, each time chart has different resistance/support prices. Especially since not much is breaking resistance levels on 52 weeks charts. I was thinking the intraday chart, but just not for sure.

actually the gold-based fund i have, PRPFX, is down, but not 100k worth, more like 10k on a 75k investment--about equal to the past week's DVD sales...learn to ply things safely, and do some research before you post

c'mon guys, stick to facts....I am not a subsciber of Tim's and I don't need to promote the dude, but if the guy is making money for others just be happy for them and don't trash the guy thats doing it for them. when a trade dosnt work, your stop levels shud be respected, people loss theirs shirts and underwears because their fail to be diciplnie and take stops , they trade based on hope, horoscope etc

trading is an art, 80 percent of the traade success IS BASED ATthe entry POINT, then when trade goes on yer favor, managing is key , and of course the last would be selling, when enough is nuff, just get out and take the money, lotta traders go greedy and espect more just to find out next day stockprice did mega gapdowns.

The proper way to calculate the return is:

(Ending Value - Beginning Value) / Beginning Value = Holding period return

Return on CD's: (618,000 - 600,000) / 600,000) = 3%

Return on Stocks: (17,500 - 10,000) / 10,000) = 75%

But considering you have only 1.66% of your money in stocks and the other 98.34% in CD's you have to take a weighted average of the two returns.

(Weight in CD's * CD's return) + (Weight in Stocks * Stock return) = Weighted average return

.9834 x .03 + .0166 * .75 = .042 => 4.2%

Definitely not a 75% return but look on the bright side. You beat the market.
