The Secret To Getting Thousands Of Followers
Posted by Timothy Sykes on Sun 5th of Oct, 2008 10:04:42 AMIn this tweet the other day, Andrew Warner said:
Of all the people I interviewed, Timothy Sykes (@timothysykes) has the most devoted fans, by far. They love him & follow everything he does.
Judging by my Covestor popularity and performance outright domination, the 700 person TIMalert subscriber base just 4 months since inception–and out of 30+ alerts, 25 outright wins of 20%+ hahaha Jewwwwww yahhhhhhh–the 6,000 or so daily website visitors (main site and TIMalerts.com subscribers-only site) and the hundreds of daily dumb to smart questions I get emailed, I’d say he was dead on.
The secret?
Give useful information. Give honest information. Give information that makes people money. Give them information that makes their lives easier.
And don’t hold back.
And promote your testimonials form people you’ve helped banked. Promote them like linking to articles like this one, when you help someone make $40,000 in 4 months.
And publicly fend off all haters and criticisms, that only makes your case stronger.
That’s it.
Seriously.
Just be prepared to spend 15-20 hour days blogging, emailing, linking, researching…
Cuz if you slack, even for a little bit, there are others waiting in the wings.
Well, maybe not in finance…cuz they’re all eogtisitical / non-mistake-admitting scumbags who don’t understand the power of blogging, brutal honesty and new interactive technologies.
