Brief Intro To My New Instructional Trading DVDs & Morning Watchlist

Posted by Timothy Sykes on Wed 1st of Oct, 2008 12:19:05 PM

Guess who this was sent to waaaaay early this morning? Yup, TIMalerts subscribers:

Wacky times my friends, some good stocks to short, usually no shares available, short sellers being blamed for others’ mistakes, politicians being their usual useless selves, and I’ve got about 3 dozen emails asking me the difference between my new ShortStocking DVD (how to short sell all stocks, not just Penny Stocks) and PennyStocking Part Deux DVD (builds on the original PennyStocking DVD, with intraday chart patterns, 2007/2008 examples/trades/lessons and updated financial regulations), and the TIMraw DVD (behind-the-scenes-footage of my daily routine, live trades, answers to FAQs…12 hours, yeah excessive is my bag), combo packages coming soon, all of which are available for pre-order HERE, HERE and HERE, shipping in late November 2008.

Blehhh, sorry to promote in this post, but it’s gonna save me about 50 emails so I can focus on the stocks below, although none of them look very ideal so I probably won’t even trade again today (see how the opportunities come in bunches, then fade for a bit, kinda waves, in and out, in and out), better get used to it, patience has been key to my 130%+ 11 month return:

ASFG up 240% in 1 day, only in Penny Stocks baby! Good luck finding shares to short

OSK up 40% off its lows, perfectly horrific stock chart, lots of bitter shareholders, but they did report good earnings, or at least people liked them…sad, I don’t short earnings plays until the moves get excessive…I’ve been doing this 10 years now, the rules are in place for a reason

EXTR had a late day pop, this is one poorly performing stock, I’ll look to short if it has another big up day or two as the chart says it can reverse quickly.

SIL now solidly under $2…see I/everyone really don’t/doesn’t have to cover these perfect plays very quickly…it’s tough to not take big profits, but sometimes I/everyone has gotta keep a small position…remember, there were about 1 million shares available to short at $4…that kind of liquidity was the reason I thought my hedge fund could get to $20mil+, just needed a couple of these/year

CALC got some bigtime funding and spiked from $1 to $3 in an hour, already down to just over $2…gotta be quick sometimes, not my game, but many of you love to short these quick jumps, whatever works for you

VSE dropped nicely, no shares available ☹

RZ dropped in the morning, but then bounced, gradually all day, perfect example of why shorting into morning panics is so dangerous…let’s hope it’s got some more to squeeze stubborn shorts and make it a better shorting opportunity for the rest of us patience people.

    Hey Tim,
Love your site. If you teach every one this method won't it stop working?

    What are your thoughts?
  • hoff, u cant destory the patterns, they just mutate into new opportunities...so eventually i'll have a DVD called "PennyStocking 6, the recent mutations caused by pennystocking 1-5"
  • tim you get my email with the update

Since you are into speculatives have a look at ESI on the Australian Stock exchange. If you like alternative energy bets this one could be major and now is the time to get into it as majorf funding is about to happen. The company is called Environmental Clean Technologies and it can produce steel using dewatered liginite at less than a third of traditional methods. Big players had been shorting it but that has now calmed.
