See The List of Financial Stocks You Cannot Short & Understand What This All Means…

Posted by Timothy Sykes on Fri 19th of Sep, 2008 10:54:26 AM

This was sent out earlier today to TIMalert subscribers (I’ve updated it a bit since the SEC terrorism news came out):

Today is gonna be a heart pounding trading day, hope you got a good night’s rest. As every stock that is a potential short setup will be impacted by the SEC trying to scapegoat short sellers as the reason for the stock market’s problems.

In addition to THIS blog post I wrote last night, now we’re getting word the SEC is banning all Short Selling in 799 financial companies til OCtober 2nd. See the WSJ article HERE

At first, I was worried, but as I began thinking about it, this is great news!

Why?

Just imagine the kinds of runups and pumps (no to little dumps) without rational Short Selling coming in. If the SEC is really dumb enough not to understand the pandemonium their rule will create, they deserve all the consumer complaints they’re gonna get. The stock market could close for days at a time.

These are all just possibilities, but I gotta get you guys understanding there are no rules now. Have zero expectations…

I want you guys to reach out to every stock promoter, every market manipulator you know and tell em to do their thing. There’s not gonna be anybody to stop their pumping so instead of stocks going from $1 to $4 on hype-filled news releases, rumors, paid promotion, etc and then retracing, think $1 to $40…or even $1 to $400. This is a short sellers dream cuz if you understand the variables outlined in my PennyStocking DVD, you can just as easily switch to buying these ridiculous spikes.

Now I could be dreaming, but remember how Regulation SHO created a few short squeezes, this could create the mother of all squeezes….everywhere.

Let’s see how the news plays out today, the TIMalerts-only chatroom will up working next week. Forget about going form $12k to $25k, if this is as good as I think it is, we’re talking possible $12k to to $250k or to $2.5mil in 10 months as the volatility should be outstanding!

Try to pick your borrows carefully…beware of intraday spikes caused by SEC-terrorism-related news.

HERE’s the list of banned stocks

Here’s the 22 I’m watching:

Hehehe, now that’s only for TIMalert subscribers! The SEC bans Short Selling, I ban free watchlists! Life’s a bitch, but you gotta respect the idiots with the control.

This is the same dynamic that has been going on for decades... Instead of the fatcats saying "look here Livermore, we want you to put up the price in $XXX" they've said, "We'll save all 797 of your asses, but the price goes up, we get out, and No one fucks us over!" and the SEC has said "We guarantee it!"

Pick out 22 and ride the pump up... get out before the dump!!!
