Sykes’ 13: Lots Of Stocks That Are Wannabe Supernovas, But They All Fail
Posted by Timothy Sykes on Thu 7th of Aug, 2008 09:22:46 AMI know, I know you want some stock trades, well, it’s been boring, welcome to PennyStocking, there’s not gonna be a trade every day or even every week, especially during this, the slowest month of the year. Deal with it and don’t force trades…and most of all, stop emailing me about when there’s gonna be a great pump and dump. Have some patience you little hyenas or I’m gonna have to create another DVD called Patience-ing, which would just be me standing in front of a green screen silent for 6 hours…that’d teach you patience, right?
ZYXI broke out to new highs, but the stock moves in spurts, not my kind of gradual riser, considering I suck at buying breakouts and we know this tock is being manipulated (stupid message board postsers/pumpers actually believe a sleepy stock for years all of a sudden is doing anything differently…nope, it’s a pump in anticipation of a PIPE, mark my words Kool-Aid drinkers, going on the AMEX or not, reserve shares every day in case it wants to collapse
VRNM got a lot of money and respect from their new partnership with BP, don’t short it
PGTI tanked perfectly, I have no excuse for not shorting/sending out an alert, just that it’s a little illiquid…if I sent out any alert, I would’ve been blamed for the price drop…good thing several PennyStocking DVD students emailed/posted they shorted and banked
REV is up 60 cents/share in 2 weeks, big whoop, and good earnings, it’s not a Supernova, it’s just a spike, let it run
NCOC is one people are mentioning, that chart is pathetically messy…don’t mention a crap chart like that on my site gain, focus on stuff that’s actually moving!
ILE is one that’s moving, reserve shares this very second (although non-TIMalert people reading this later in the day probly won’t find any shares LOL), positive drug news, shorts at 9-10am who thought 200% gain was too much as they got squeezed and the stock was up 400%+ by 11am…ridiculous, I thought about shorting, but preferred to wait, key is to wait for volume to fade more, bitter shareholders will gradually want out, ideally we get an afternoon fade, maybe not even today, but during tomorrow’s LiveStock!
GERN broke out of little base, but lots of resistance everywhere, tough to buy into such a pattern, same with STSA
GTE is the same piece of crap it’s always been, pre-Cramer and commodity-related pump, now the stock’s fallen off a cliff and is trying to bounce, reserve shares to short, this is in a nasty downtrend, should play out like WSCI’s bounce the other day
BIOS and IDMI both went up a bit, too booooooring to think about shorting
ARNA dropped on poor earnings, unless you short into the morning dump, which is riskier, we’re talking 30 cents/share of downside, too tight for my tastes
SCA I’m soooo glad this one spiked after its first down day—I keep saying finance plays are different, but nobody understands why. Now you do—any pump and dump would’ve surely collapsed into such price action, this is news ralted people, that’s why I don’t short
HDSN’s tankage proves why you should never anticipate a breakout, always wait, especially when it’s around earnings time
