Guess What I Said To The SEC On Twitter?

Posted by Timothy Sykes on Tue 5th of Aug, 2008 12:17:57 PM

Sure, you can write letters/email them on their official website SEC.gov, but since they are so understaffed, underpaid, inbred, illiterate and incompetent, there’s little chance you’ll actually be heard–unless of course you’re writing about insider trading, as time and again that’s what these dimwits have proven to be their only concern…

So when a few bloggers started writing about how they were on twitter (see their profile HERE), a rather new form of internet communication, I had to direct message them my thoughts (since there’s a good chance they won’t be able to ignore that) (See my Twitter profile HERE)

Can you guess what I said?

In a rather tempered Tweet (see it HERE) I wrote:

lets meet up for brainstorming session, for far too long you incompetent pricks have screwed over the little guys

After all, I’m perfectly willing to talk to them about the error of their ways!

I encourage all of you guys to direct message them with your thoughts on the absurd pattern day trading rule, socialist restrictions on Short Selling and anything else your little hearts desire…

PS Contrary to some hater’s edits on my Wikipedia page (see my profile HERE)(see ridiculous history HERE), I’m not under investigation for fraud/manipulation, in fact, no matter what I say about the SEC (they raped me and others, we need to take back the night, Osama bin SEC, etc.) or any of these shady shady companies (Trader Monthly can’t afford to air condition their offices, KYUS didn’t realize they were a fraud, HYHY is a probable fraud, GETG is a probable fraud, etc.), I’ve never been contacted by/complained to by anybody associated with these evil doers so we all just have to assume I’m dead on in my blogging.

  • Who said there's no such thing as a free lunch. One was just offered up by Tim in the form of a brainstorming session! Not sure they're going to show up, or even respond. I commend you for trying my friend.
  • younggunz
    nice
  • Bob (VC)
Too damn funny.. I am awaiting their response with bated breath...

I'm guessing I'll pass out long before you hear back.
  • Will
Stop trying to inflate things. The SEC could care less about you. Twitter is not going to change that.
  • ddigia1
Very funny. Like Will said, they'll never care about you... but I still love the Twitter-slap!

Sorry off topic guys, but has anyone out here tried Speedtrader? Ive tried their demo and it reminds me of Scottrade. TOS has got to be the best around.
  • I laughed when i saw that on my twitter feed the other day

OUT AWEC at 0.6201 (sold at 0.67 yesterday), was not such a good move so I'm walking. +5.9% after fees.

I'm looking at RVTI but I find it too illiquid.
  • jan
I'm using speedtrader now.. never used TOS.. and i like them.. quick customer support. TOS could be better - but i would have no idea...
  • notesguy88
Hey Jan, how well is borrowing shares at speedtrader working out? Are you able to borrow shares of stocks under $3 and and are you able to borrow Bulletin Board and Pink Sheet stocks?
  • total_keops
OUT HSYN 0.1 (long at 0.115). -21% on a small position after fees.
  • total_keops
    Potential play overnight...
    NEOM
I just dont have enough margin to play it. IB ask me 26 grand to short 10000 shares! lol, thats 93$ of stocks, I dont get it.
  • longshort28
I guess may be because you have exceeded your 3 day trades for this week...
  • total_keops
No, not yet. Theres one left.
  • GT4NE1
Why isn't the Aug. 1st Livestock On Demand yet?
  • getshorty
Keops, lots of brokers (if not all) are extra careful on your margin when shorting extra small stocks like neom, basically because if it spikes you'll en up owing more than what you have in your account in no time.

On the other hand, you have to be absolutely insane to short a stock under 1 cent, lets say it spikes overnight and opens at 3 cents, it would have wiped your initial bet two times, that;s why many brokers just don't short em at all.
  • younggunz
brokers evaluate margin per each companies stock. A company like that they put as very high risk so you have a very high margin value.
  • rankun, site is pretty clean and easy to navigate so far, but i doubt it gets the discussion this site gets from volume
