My apologies for the delay, just waaaaay too much going on lately. For those who don’t know, TIMbucks is a rewards program meant to try to bribe people to participate/comment more. The plan is to giveaway away little gifts like TIMalerts subscriptions, autographed copies of An American Hedge Fund, Apple iPod Shuffles, stuff like that.
Now is the time to figure out exactly what we’re gonna giveaway, most due to a really cool little website, Reebles.com, sponsoring TIMbucks, helping this cheap Jew give this stuff away.
Leave a comment below with what you want so I can put together an official TIMbucks rewards chart, the top guy will receive the best rewards, then 2 and 3, then 3-5, etc…

But you could have “cheaper” rewards like 1 (or maybe 3) free Tim trades. A trade being the cost of the commission with a free TIM alert. dunno how this would work out if you alert wasn’t profitable. just make it a requirement to submit an account statement stating the commission on the date.
TIM Leverage - TIM matches you investment to double your return (or covers your loss, limitations could apply)…
TIM Treasures - TIM gives you shares for the stock to short… no more “sorry, we don’t have any ZYX available” from Paul at think or swim…
TimTV - Lost Episode - A sneak peek into how TIM finds his stocks with a secret, “livestock” like 1 on 1 hardcore session. or something similar.
TimWear - Custom shirt with TIM and a tire pump inflating a “stock chart” (candle chart, no bars or lines - they’re for pussies) and you could be like on the phone asking to reserve some shares. the stock symbol could be like the guys initials or name…

Ivegotstylekid is right Tim, the best way to grow your community is by educating them. Give away some of the books you recommend in TimReads, Market Wizards, The Disciplined Investor. Stuff like that.
eric and style do have a great idea, If you gave me a book that i knew you recommend (and i didn’t have to find and buy - god im lazy) i would read it… probably twice… and i hate reading books.
…thats why I think something like a livestock session sounds great, even if its like 20 minutes, if you walked in with something to be taught… a simple pattern, level II Tips, blah blah - a real purpose driven 15 minutes, would be invaluable - and people could buy “tickets” for the show like once a month

Tim, Bartiromo’s dumb but have you ever seen Erin Burnett? She has by far the most annoying mannerisms/facial tics/retardation of anyone i’ve seen on CNBC, nay, all of television. Get pallian to make a website on her with clips/pics of her retardation. Combine it with Bartiromo if you want…i’m sure you could pull hits (and push more visitors to your site!), make some ad money, and get CNBC’s attention at the same time. I think trial periods of tim alerts and the book/dvd are obvious. Maybe baked goods from your mother/girlfriend? A business lunch/dinner with tim. A showcase on LiveStock. So many possibilities…
