Just leave your guess in the comments section below…first one to guess it wins 1 free month of TIMalerts…trust me, you want TIMalerts, I’m like 17 for 17 since inception on June 10th, average gain of 20% within 1-2 days, there are testimonials galore (click HERE and read the testimonials)–it’s real-time trading alerts by me and I won’t win every time, my goal is just to teach you to recognize high probability trade setups, the trading part is up to you…

laptop Guess My New Laptop & Win TIMalerts, Winner To Be Announced On LiveStock 1 2PM EST!

Basically just a not-so-clever way to get you to watch LiveStock tomorrow from 1-2PM EST! Well, clever if I was a sissy value investor–they’re about as creative as bark on a tree–and despite their mainstreaminess, their returns this year and last are those of trees getting chopped down to make canoes…canoes used by short sellers to paddle to a magical island where there’s nothing but free booze, girls, any kind of food you want and everyone’s merry, singing and dancing along as we burn the corpses of finance freaks, marketing maggots, asinine ANALysts & leverage lovers for all eternity…

livestock banner11 Guess My New Laptop & Win TIMalerts, Winner To Be Announced On LiveStock 1 2PM EST!

Yeah, for those of you who I’ve somehow missed with my self-promotional warfare, LiveStock ain’t your typical finance show, I don’t give out a thousand stocks to buy, buy, buy or sell, sell, sell cuz anyone watching is too damn poor/smart not to diversify like a friggin $500 million mutual fund–whose returns are 70% likely to fail to beat a simple index–I focus on the variables, patterns and stocks where you can actually make predictable profits–just take a look at the table on my TIMalerts subscribers-only websit and see what I’m talkin’ about

Long story short, finance is so fu%^&en backwards, all the wrong people have the power, too many people are confused/losing $…it’s time somebody did something about it…me and my new laptop are just getting started…

    T, TOS charges $20 for large 20,000 share OTCBB stock orders. For 30,000 shares it's $30. For 40,000, it's $40. And it's $50 for 50,000 shares or more.

If you're only ordering 5000 shares or less, you pay a flat fee of $9.95. Or, small orders (like 500 shares) you pay the 1.5 cents per share commission.
  • getshorty
T, if you got a cheaper broker, keep it aside, that way you can trade with the cheapest that you can get shares available, thats what i play both cards with IB and TOS.

But by any means, if you want to be in the crap shorting game, open a tos account since they are the only ones I know so far that allow you to reserve shares.
  • T
    Thanks YngvaiMalmsteve and shorty....

I have an account with scottrade which doesn't allow me to short stock which is trading at $5.

I spoke to TOS and they said that you cannot short stock which is less than 3. Most of the Tim's recommendations in his daily alerts talk about shorting stock which is less than $ 2 or $3 and as Scottrade said no, I am looking for a broker who allows to short stock which are trading less than $2.

    Any reco?

    How is IB?

Hey Timmay, why not give one month free TimAlert to all bitches who participate on this guessing game? It won't cost you a penny extra. It will help you rather, herds of 100s extra will be jumping on your short calls than just a few hundreds you already have. That helps to move the stock. You will be rich if only 25% bitches continue joining TimAlert after 1 mo and statistically always higher % will join after they taste the fun of TimAlert! Just a thought! Jewyaaaah!
  • nah only the winner gets a free month, i dont need BS free trials, i think i've proven this is a valuable service so if people cant spend $30/month on hardcore honest research, they probly shouldnt be trading anyway
  • Mike_13th
    T
    imo IB hands down best!
And yes I have reserved borrows many times there.
You can short down to .001 stocks if you wish.
    All are fair game there.
Their commish can't be beat plus their Premarket list rocks.

Be warned though you need $10k to open.
  • longshort
Thanks Mike for your reco. 10K is too much for me now but will def. open account with them if I make some money in the market.
  • Mike_13th

    Oh and T,
I left $500 in scott to keep it open,as I've posted a few times before, their scrolling HOD list has easy made me over $100k in the last 5 months...trading wise it stinks though imo,i just use 'em.

15" monitor (17" too big for timmay)
2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (0.1 more GHz for $250 is too much money, offends timmay's jewish sense of deal making)

4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM (timmay DOES need more RAM for his real time charting- some things can't be skimped)

250GB HD @ 5400 RPM (timmay don't need no faster speed for mo' money)

Apple Care Plan (you'd be stupid not to)

    no other extras required

The worst part of Livestock is THE WAIT :) Friday is now my favorite day as I am awake at this hour. Don't buy an HP because I thought the touchscreen would be great on my tx1308nr. However, it is not as nice as a track-ball would be on my old Dell or on a Lenovo Thinkpad :)
  • arcus
Fujitsu. We've got an HP widescreen that we really enjoy. Had a Dell once and it wouldn't stop falling apart. 3 keyboards, CD-drive, batteries, heck..even the hinges for the screen broke off. I'll never buy another Dell.

I doubt my answer is correct but that would be what I would buy right now if I was going to use it for business. I just doubt you can get a thinkpad off the shelf. NYC is probably much different then where I live so they may have a store that sells them. Otherwise you'd have to wait for it to be shipped.

One thing that bugs me lately with newer laptops is all the manufacturers boasting about having glossy screens. Why the heck do you want a glossy screen thats going to have a reflection on it constantly unless you're in a cave. My HP has one and I am looking on eBay for an anti-glair skin.

Tim, I am going to tell it like it just as you do. I just lost $50,000 on one shitty penny stock... TIDE.OB.

I lost my trading guts and am scared to make trades. Getting emotional just watching stocks.

YOU HAVE BEEN THERE, GIVE ME SOME ADVICE BUDDY. I NEED SOME...I AM A COMPLETE IDIOT. LOST MY B**LZ.
  • winner was #10 jpdrew, congrats!

importico, dont feel too bad, these companies are all frauds, thats what they do fuck people over...good lesson for u, now just take some time off and regroup emotionally....always new opportunities, u just gotta be in the right frame of mind to profit from them
  • tallcotton
Hey Michael, Tim's right. You gotta back away from the computer and regroup. Lots of people are struggling right now. The market really sucks, so you're not alone.

If you have time, go back and read Reminiscences of a Stock Operator. The first five chapters talk about how he made and lost his money over and over. It really helped me. Hope you will benefit from it, too. Cheers, and better trading next time.
  • johnnyvento
my guess also correct, but I'll never ever get anything
