Another day, another huge TIMalert victory—this time it was calling, profiting, blogging, predicting, you name it, MKTY is down 31% off its high on the day…$5.50 to $3.78…so far. I profited, TIMalert subscribers profited, and just about everyone else couldn’t find any shares to short—welcome to the TIMalert biz model. Good things come in low float packages and everyone wants to reserve shares to short…TIMalert subscribers get the email/post on the subscribers-only website at 8am, everyone else gets the info later, usually after all the shares have been reserved.
Here’s the story of a pump named MKTY as told by my alerts—this isn’t magic, it’s just how pump and dumps act…it’s about time people gave them the respect they deserve cuz they’re just so damn predictable!

MKTY is my #1 potential short today (already reserved 1,500 shares to short or the day), especially on any spike, I was early shorting yesterday, but played it safe and even managed to escape with a small gain…TIMalert subscribers know all about it as the subscriber-only website had over 100 comments yesterday (new record!)…also discussed in my blog post last night…this is a pure pump, but it’s only a $25 million company so it can go further than you think possible…yesterday was 2nd big up day, if this pattern holds true, the 3rd day is tough for it to finish up big, let alone up at all…of course the pattern h as mutations so maybe we’ll get a true Supernova here…at the very least, I’m hoping it can squeeze some early shorts past the the key $5 resistance
shorted MKTY at 5.40, perfect, perfect pump and dump price action
perfect short squeeze this morning on pathetic volume, tried shorting 1500, only 300 shares got executed before price cracked on even more pathetic volume…shoulda woulda coulda been more aggressive in my limit order and gotten it all filled at 5.35, 5.30, but hindsight is easy….good news is no way in hell did u need this alert to tell u when i’d short, i called this price action EXACTLY in my premarket watchlist…guess i’m gonna hold these 300 shares for a while, not worth taking anything less than 75 cents/share profit
covered MKTY at 4.73, wanted 4.53, good problem to have, 15ish% profit!
yeah i know i said 75 cents/share profit, booo hoo, i only got 67 cents/share profit…had my order at 4.53, but somehow it didnt get executed during the panic selling…if it was a bigger position, i’d probly wait around for the probable late day fading, attempt at taking out just now found support at 4.50, but i’ve got too much stuff to do to worry about trying to extract another $60 in profits…fact is this was a perfect TIMalert call so i expect testimonials galore from you people (just comment anywhere on my TimothySykes.com or TIMalert website, u know i’ll highlight em!…no need to rush, this bubble is probly popped as i seriously wouldnt be surprised to see this thing under $4 in a few days, but who knows, i like to taking my quick profits, no need to worry and i’m proud to have another giant TIMalert success
End result: I shorted only 1/5 the shares I wanted, covered $1 too high, but my good entry made me $200ish on a $1600 investment in less than 2 hours. (Suck on that value investor bitches that’d take you a year, a good year at that, LOL!) If the goddamn SEC hadn’t clamped down on my ability to trade (others are beginning to see my point with this, right?), my early exit would matter little for I’d be in and out this thing more times than Lindsay Lohan in rehab!
Infinitely more important, even though I had an itchy trigger finger on the exit, my last alert said under $ was a possibility and now that’s happened today no less! I love when TIMalert subscribers bank thousands of dollars: behold the testimonials you curiously don’t see day in day out on all these other “newsletters”…cuz they’re all Bullshittttttttttttt.
Yup, that’s a dare to every other newsletter out there, I post my numbers and now testimonials every day, you put up shit. You don’t deserve to lick the ground I walk on, not because I’m that great/good, but because you’re scum…typical finance industry scum. Put up or shut up cuz lil brtually honest Timmay is gonna shut down you talentless tricksters / marketing maggots…or at least take your subscribers away…

Go with DTO (double short oil). I’ve been in since 22ish. Sold a little here, but will hold the rest for a while.
And if you want the real thing, it is the futures contract on light sweet crude oil, ticker CL. Current contract is september 08.

you are great tim…but as for myself i would not just limit myself to your strategies…cause there are limitations when it comes to shorting hard to borrow stocks…

Tim, something about how you are leveraging the scarcity of the shares available for reserving to promote your alerts annoys me greatly. It also makes me wonder how this is not stock advice.

I shorted today at open, went through instantly, 400@ 4.86, i shoulda have been more aggressive(shorted more, or set sell limit higher), but wanted to take it easy.. im still holding the stock, and im not sure what i should do, sell at open tomorrow, or get greedy.. As all your previous picks ive been following always do ridiculously good long after you jump ship.. any advide tim would be appreciated on this trade. and anyone know what the deal with google finance on quoting the price of this stock

This pic is taken about a days boat ride south of Manaus, Brazil on the Amazon. The men behind me are cleaning the day’s catch. I know you hate frauds, so I’ll say straight up that the picture was staged. I had finished it before I ever even left Florida!
So I read the book and watched about 75% of the DVDs (skipped some because I read through the giant booklet first not knowing it was the powerpoint outline! :)
I’ve made two trades since I’ve been back:
shorted GGR yesterday (after first down day) on johnnyvento’s suggestion from the 13th’s site late Sunday night. Covered late today!
reserved 2000 shares of MKTY at 8:01 with TOS (early bird)
shorted 1000 at open (4.94 avg with like 6 fills) knowing full well a spike could come. Sat patiently through the spike while reading that Tim happily shorted a panic cover at 5.40 I never used my remaining 1000 shares- was waiting for a supernova spike that never happened. Finally covered (3.89- not risking any AH pain).
In short, I’ve made a little under 2k since I’ve been back. On two trades thanks to Tim’s strategy!!!
Having Margin taken away for too many pdt… SUCK!!!!! no shorting is costing me $$$$.. MKTY was soo nice and soo perfect.. plus with Timalerting us too.. damn.. How easy can it get.

I took a small revenge today, shorted 300 shares at 7.73 and covered at 7.43 (set an alarm at 7.90 when it was flirting with 8, somehow it wasn’t trigerred and when I chequed it was already 7.73)

I completely f’ed up my execution on the MKTY short. Shorted early, but I KNEW there would be a spike, and I KNEW it wouldn’t probably get past $5.50 because the chart showed there would be some resistance at that level. Yet I let my emotions get in the way, and I got shook out at $5.42. If I had just held for that extra 8 cents and let it come back down. And I couldn’t get back in because there were no shares available….and I kept trying ALL DAY. The TOS guys were probably getting annoyed with me bringing up the chat window every 15 minutes to see if shares were available.
I at least made back a big chunk of the loss with my CVP short.
I have to see a client early in the morning so I won’t be playing anything tomorrow morning.
Anyone wanna guess the opening price of AMZN? People must be having trouble reading the report.
Umm….I’m gonna say they’re gonna open around 78-79. QCOM will help boost everything up tomorrow AM.

My stockfetcher scans didn’t turn up anything that would have supernova potential.
EEGC did break out on good volume today, BUT if you look at the 2-year chart, it’s sitting right at resistance.
SLAT is a spammer creeping its way up again. Might be a good long or short depending on what happens in the near future.
GSPG broke out a few days ago and looks like it’s consolidating.
EFFC is a low floater forming a pennant right now below the 17 cent breakout point. Next resistance is at 20 cents on the 2-year chart.
MNLU looks like it may start creeping back up again, setting up for another good short at some point.
gs,look at these charts,maybe you’ll see a few you like.Myself I see a few I’d go short on even if green but off say 4-5% from hods.JUHL was a great short on last runup if you can get borrows.

well,not reco’s just watching short biased and yes I look for ones that i know are pumped and/or have runup in last few days to short.
Many I will hop in long then hit the “flip” button on IB and automatically i go short on the same stock when i feel,as i did on STSA today when it couldn’t crack 9,the run has ended.
I made 40 trades tues,mostly doing that.
This is an awesome dt market imo,the volatility is wild
Like look at BLUS chart,it’s almost doubled in 5 days and its sitting right under even 2,so to me i can go short it fails 2 break and use a tight mental if i’m wrong.
Same with WRSP bit under 3.
Almost a double in 7 days.

MESA is one that hasn’t gone supernova yet. Maybe the bulls will raid it after the big deal plays.. LCC, JBLU and UAUA get dumped. I’m holding PNCL overnight again from yesterday…their fundamentals are actually pretty stellar compared to the others..and the float is low. They’re all down afterhours, though.
Another crazy runner from today…RDN…watch that tomorrow too.

Another mondo-loser was ARTC - nice short squeeze as well but after all the trades in OSTK I had no cash avail to trade it (yesterday all I could do was buy 100 shares PNCL)…my OSTK trade settles tomorrow so I’ll have plenty to trade with
Careful shorting these spikes. I’m not making a bottom call but we have near record volume and considerably stronger volume than back in March. I think we get a good pull back at some point and that will present great shorting opportunities just make sure you see weakness first.

I think it was a mix up with the password…I laugh at how mac users blab about how they don’t need anti-virus. you realize the more popular your macs get the higher your risks for getting hit with viruses or hacked become. Macs are just over priced pcs nowadays. i’ve used macs plenty in college and i can get those suckers to freeze up with the rainbow pinwheel of gayness pretty easily.

Manipulation found in oil trading but from 2007. No proof speculators caused the surge. According to Warren Buffett this was simple supply and demand. You gonna argue with the greatest investor in the world.
Government yesterday announced plans to put a cap on oil traders with new rules. A trader today said this could be nightmare if they go through with it. Feds want to bitchslap oil to the $80 level. Good luck with that. 1.3 trillion bailout coming for financials and homebuilders will cause a superspike in oil. Oil will close the year above 160.
This nonsense we’ve seen in the last 2 weeks in the financials going up 100% for certain stocks will be very short lived. How is the naked short rule working on FNM, FRE, and WM today. All going belly up. Wachovia went up 50% on a 9 billion loss for the quarter. LOL
Ford today announced 8.7 billion quarter loss. Worst in its history. Why isn’t it up 50%.
DOW under 10K by end of year. Things will be getting ugly. No more magic Fed interest rate drop to cure all ills. Feds are already lagging on interest rate hikes.
Short everything in site that is financials or homebuilder. Sleep on it. If it goes up add more. In another few months most will be penny stocks.
