If Citigroup Inc. (C) Has $1.1 Trillion In Off-Balance Sheet Assets, JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) $400 Billion…

Posted by timothysykes on Tue 15th of Jul, 2008 11:04:02 AM

…and if these are the “most respectable” companies out there, I’m talking the most invested in/covered/analyzed by the SEC, ANALysts, the financial media circus, investors, fund managers–basically this entire joke of an industry, made infinitely truer considering it’s these meatheads jobs to do thorough due diligence (Fail!)–then can you imagine what all these other, lesser companies are hiding?

That’s right, I’m suggesting there’s a lot more bad stuff on the horizon (uh oh SEC, am I spreading false rumors? LOL…witch hunting pricks…yeah, what, come at me dawg)–not necessarily off-balance sheet crap, but who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? I don’t even wanna know what other sh%^ others are into…

Ponder this by reading THIS excellent blog post about it–these pitiful human beings wanted to make fast cash, fooled a great many people and did so for quite a long time and now have tried to hide their mistakes while trying to unload them without anyone noticing.

F%&* it man, I’ve never rooted for outright economic collapse before, but if that’s what it’s gonna take to get rid of/dethrone all these demons, so be it…S&G-style, just wipe ‘em all away and let’s start over…only allow Philosophy majors to run these companies, business students, by their very nature, are just too damn greedy/corrupt!

  1. Closed GIGM at 11.10 and 11.18, now I am long, in at 11.26, wish me luck

  2. Now THAT was a stupid trade.

  3. Bailed on TMR… nervous about the drop and oil plunge

  4. thinking of putting a stop order in tmr….mmmhhh…

  5. TonyE: any encouraging words on TMR?

  6. ya know on scott I don’t see an option on ’stop order’.

  7. Out of TMR here too. Moving too slow and not breaking resistence past 3.25. Might look to re-enter later if it can break 3.25 - 3.30 price resistence.

  8. ha encouraging words on TMR? its a failed breakout, failure #5 or 6 from what i can see…onyl encouraging thing is your losses are stil small

  9. TMR loss = 39.92 and of course it goes up more…. Sh(*^%$$#(* G*(^*&^*&)(*

  10. my f%$&%ing account is going up and down like a yoyo.

  11. look at that mf go G%$%$ it………..

  12. story of my trading life

  13. you think your timing sucks….

  14. maybe i can start a site as a contratian, wherein i say buy you sell…hahahahahha

  15. 15
    thebabyfacedtrader -

What are ways to improve your timing?

  16. still fucking going up since i sold FUCK

  17. boo hoo brent, its up 8 cents, get over it…multiply what u’re feeling right now by 1,000 and $1-@/share each time and then u’ll have the slightest clue of how many plays i’ve mistimed…u can never be perfect, only undisciplined

  18. 18
    thebabyfacedtrader -

I cant believe you made trades underway on a semester at sea. I bet you missed plenty of plays on that trip.

  19. yeaaa,,, well,,, it still sucks…. My discepline said hang on. I got spooked…. what can i say.

  20. Pretty boring day for all the overall volitility.

  21. no your discipline said sell…lack of discipline would keep u in a stocks thats failed to breakout…the exact exit doesnt matter, all that matters is u cut your losses.

yak whatcha talking about IDAE and MNLU are perfect

  22. The market is crazy today.

  23. Nice charts for IDAE and MNLU

  24. u guys listening to paulsen. He is proposing permission to SS FRE and FNM. How long before we can’t short at all?

  25. Brent, being able to bail with a small loss is a positive thing… I’ve seen stocks like that spiral out of control after failing to breakout and lose 30% of their value. Plenty of opportunities in the future… every day is another chance to redeem your bad days.

  26. The important thing is that you followed your rules.

  27. Yea I’m listening to pualson and I think it’s bullshit!! He’s a dick head….. just look at him. I’m getting tired of everyone complaining about short sellers and speculators, that’s what makes the american economy so fair. To hell with fre, fnm, wm, etc….

  28. I was asking why everyone was buying TMR yesterday and the replies were 1) because Tony Ellis bot it 2) because its rising above the recent consolidation range
    a) who gives a shit what some other trader says, no matter how good they are, they’ll make mistakes like everyone else - none can be right 100% b) consoidation range? who gives a f%$#, lots of stocks will do that - does’t matter if YOU think it will be a breakout - only matters if it IS a breakout cause thats what other traders are going by - it’s either a breakout or NOT a breakout, with breakouts it’s a pretty exact science, there is an exact price to break and it wasn’t there yet
So hopefully the TMR whiners learned a lesson and will move on, and keep that with them

  29. look at DCGN today - another fakeout breakout

  30. traknologist…im with you….let em all fail…fail baby fail

  31. yaktipper, you’re playing the wrong stocks then. I played Wm and FRE today. Granted, they are not Tim-type plays, but it helps to have more than one go-to trade type for times like these.

  32. volume is just as important as price - yesterday no volume for TMR - today no volume for DCGN

  33. PCola - FRE has been great the past few days - too bad yesterday I got stopped out with .30 gain that coulda been 1.30 gain

  34. Check out FOUR

  35. ahhhhh, how quickly our emotions change. This morning I was excited at the possibility of TMR going up and away.. Then all hell breaks loose with news that some entity was selling there positions in oil. Shoulda taken the cue and sold then. BUuuutttt, no, held on to only sell at a loss and that turned the emotional high into an emotional train wreck. Starting to calm down now though. Thanks for all the input… OOOOoooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…….

  36. and learning a little more.

  37. f@$% your emotions, man…they will ruin your trading
as soon as I get into a daytrade I get myself into a mindfulness state…zero emotions, just total mindful concentration on selling at a predetermined price…If the trade starts goin in my favor i relax a little and enjoy the postive emotion but I’m always ready for the next period of concentration when the next downdraft comes

  38. The TMR chart today was horrible. Bailing on the stock was the right thing for a trader. If you want to be an investor, then buy, hold and check your account at the end of the month.

  39. Brent - enjoy your emotions when you not actually in a trade - like looking back on TMR in a couple days when it’s at the bottom of the consolidation range again and you’re really happy you sold OR when you trade it again when it really breaks out and you make 3x what you lost today

  40. I used to work for WB who merged with First Union (had terrible fraud problems and got a bad rep) and BOA who has a good reputation for buying bad bad bad dept and I can tell you this….. These banks ain’t shit!!! The have countless scams that they use on consumers.

  41. Hahahaha…. I love paulsons face right now, He’s getting fired up!

  42. Yeah if I learn to read better maybe I would have gotten in MNLU.

I wouldn’t touch FRE, too scary. I have it in a watch list named “Ugly Stick”.

  43. Paulsons taking a beating….eh eh eh eh..take a deep breath and talk you dumbass…also whats up with his pinky…look like hes throwing up gang signs…lol

  44. Tell me more about MNLU. It broke above $6, but that is kind of a boring 5% move. What happened to the pop.

  45. anyone still in erii?

  46. @UFgemini Lmao

They want a blank check…. So you know shit is bad

  47. damn, missed all the paulson stuff. gettin hammored huh..?

  48. ALTH blowing up now…

  49. Alex, did you end up getting in? I missed the 8 breakout, but picked it up at 8.27

  50. Thanks TIM for the quick $600 on IDAE!
