TIMalerts: 10 Of Your Questions Answered Here!
Posted by timothysykes on Wed 9th of Jul, 2008 12:53:25 PMWhat is TIMalerts?
All the info can be found at TIMalerts.com, a subscribers-only website–basically for $1/day, monthly ($30) or annual ($297) subscription, you get a daily pre-market watchlist emailed to you/posted on the TIMalerts website, real-time trading alerts throughout the day and access to the discussion threads at TIMalerts.com
Will you be closing down TimothySykes.com in favor of TIMalerts.com?
Hello no! I still want to teach this game to everyone, so I’ll respond and post on both sites. I have a feeling all the hardcore traders will post on the TIMalerts site because the $30/month is near-meaningless to them, but it helps to weed out total newbies/poor people.
Is the morning watchlist the same on both sites?
YES! The difference is TIMalert subscribers get it emailed and see it posted on the TIMalerts.com website at 8am, instead of 9:30am, which is hugely important for shorting because TIMalert subscribers can reserve shares of hard-to-borrow stocks early in the morning and by the time non-paying people try to find shares, often times there won’t be any more shares available to short aka advantage TIMalert subscribers!
What is “reserving shares to short”, how do you do it?
See THIS blog post
How often will trading alerts be emailed/posted?
I have no idea, this isn’t a “one stock pick per day/week” BS scam–whenever I send out an alert, there is a worthy setup that has interested me enough to trade that stock, either long or short and those of you who have my PennyStocking instructional DVD package know it’s best to wait for those ideal setups. Sometimes, like yesterday, I’ll send out 4 alerts, sometimes none. The pre-market watchlist will be sent/posted each morning, but trades and worthy setups are unpredictable. One month in, I’ve sent out 12 trade alerts.
What’s the average trade duration & how many of the alerts will be shorts vs. longs?
Again, you guys really need to check out my PennyStocking instructional DVD package beforehand (that’s why I offer a combo deal for $495) so you can understand that my own personal trading is pretty irrelevant to you as I suck at timing, all I bring to the table is my ability to weed out the BS–and there’s a lot of it–to show you the ideal trade setups which I think have the highest probability of success.
One month into TIMalerts, there have been 8 shorts and 4 longs, that’s probly about the ratio it’ll usually be…and ALL trades have been with a 1-2 day time horizon…average gain has been 20%…no joke, check out the table on the homepage of TIMalerts.com
How do I find all my stocks to trade?
Check out THIS blog post to understand that I spend 2-5 hours each night screening and researching potential plays–you could literally do it all yourself, but I understand you’d also like to have a life, so that’s what TIMalerts helps solve–you’re paying me $1/day to put in these 2-5 hours of daily work (depending on how many plays there are). I dare you to find somebody willing to work so cheaply!
Why don’t I “get over myself”, why should you pay somebody who’s only up $8,500 in the last 7 months?
It’s funny that many seem to think that my biz is based in arrogance when in fact it’s experience-based. Thanks to my decade-long journey, detailed in my book An American Hedge Fund, I’ve seen ALL the risks, rewards, good/bad guys, good/bad companies in this niche and I’ve gotten tens of thousands of emails from traders and investors who are looking for advice/have questions so I feel uniquely qualified to teach people to profit from PennyStocking. (It’s not a “get-rich-quick” scheme, it’s all about getting the odds in your favor when you trade by taking advantage of hype, greed and marketplace corruption/manipulation.
Yes, my tiny TIM account is up only $8,500, or 70%, in 7 months (see all trades HERE), as the markets have tanked 20%. The reason my account is so small is to show investors with similarly sized accounts EXACTLY how it’s possible to use small account size to their advantage. It’s funny that many people in this joke of an industry are such snobs–just wait when TIM has assets of $100,000, I’ll be up $70,000 within a few months–probly even more considering I won’t be limited by the absurd Pattern Day Trader Rule!
Still none of my actual trading really matters as much as my ability to spot potential plays–if you’ve been reading my blog, you know I like to say “I’ll pick ‘em, you trade ‘em”.
What email address will the alerts be sent to?
Since TIMalert subscriptions are paid through Paypal, we’ll use your Paypal email address, just contact me if you’d like to use a different one.
Do we only accept Paypal payments?
Yes, but we’re working on getting credit cards accepted, will be done in the next few weeks…( not exactly high priority considering you can input your credit card info into Paypal)
