Yes, You Can See ALL My Trades Here:
Posted by timothysykes on Tue 1st of Jul, 2008 04:20:07 PMBy now, somehow I thought you guys would all understand that ALL my trades are open and detailed on the right hand side of this page, the TIMtrades button on the upper right hand side NAV bar or by clicking HERE. Don’t let the buy/sell price fool you, they’re mostly short sales, I simply sell first, then buy back later (for full definition of Short Selling , click HERE)
ALL my trades are fully detailed and you can debate them, ask questions, whatever, you will understand how I make money–that’s what Transparent Investment Management, TIM, is all about–full transparency (see press release HERE)
And to prove I ain’t lying–as most message board posters and particularly people selling an instructional trading DVD aka PennyStocking and real-time trading alerts aka TIMalerts do–my trading is tracked by Covestor (follow me HERE), a service that taps directly into my brokerage account and verifies all trades–so this isn’t one of the many BS sites where you write down whatever numbers you want, inevitably making yourself out to be great (to you twisted sick fools who do that, you should be ashamed…you learn nothing…nothing!)
For those of you who are new to the site–and there’s quite a few of you–it’s a project that I started in November 2007, intent on repeating my feat of turning $12k into $1.65 million…first time around I did it in 4 years, now due to the combo power punch of Osama bin SEC, my newfound conservatism and my publishing/writing/videoing/teaching/speaking efforts, I’m really only a part-time trader, so it’s gonna be a while…not that it really matters as it’s more about education/entertainment for you!
That’s right, I’m only trading with that $20k, no other accounts…so far…although I am contemplating funding a SpeedTrader account with $50,000 to a.) show I’ve got the money, b.) short OTCBB scam stocks and c.) prove this works with larger dollar amounts too (not that Tony Ellis’ or Mike the machinist’s amazing stories haven’t done that already)
So accept this total transparency, ask, nay, require it from other “trading teachers”, “gurus”, “market experts”, for without it, everything they say is shit, and worse, meaningless. You must understand, the ONLY reason why somebody without a fund (or subject to industry regulations which prevent freedom of information) unwilling to share everything they’re doing is because their track record is shit. Because they have stuff to hide. Because they’re not worth listening to.
To those of you too scared/fraudulent/dumb/incompetent to share all your trades and investments–and sadly, there are many of you–prepare to become obsolete. For too long, you’ve had your way with this industry–enriching yourselves, creating a bunch of dissatisfied/confused consumers and giving this once great industry a bad name. You make sick and I look forward to your passing. It’s a new world you piece-of-s#%&-mother-f$#!ers, join or die!
Now you can Twitter any questions/comments to TIMhelp and obviously you can follow TIM on twitter too!

TIM!!! I was just about to break down and buy your timALERTS for a full year! That’s awesome right?! But low and behold, it’s not just your site that has a trillion errors, but Paypals does too! I thought I would just let you know that if you would like my $297.00USD, please fix this error on the Paypal site that the link to buy timALERTS takes you to:
When one clicks the radio button (your webmaster will know what a ‘radio’ button is) to select that one already has a paypal account, the new layer that is supposed to come up with the ability to login flashes for a second and then it returns to highlighting the radio button that says one does not have a Paypal account. Once again, I know I suck because I run IE6, but it’s not me, it’s our IT department. We still keep track of our transactions with an old IBM AS400 system…COME ON!!!
thanks jeff, will send u private paypal $ request right now
I like your little Jim Cramer reference in there…and I agree with you, sorting out all the scammers and idiots out there pumping for their own good is hard enough let alone trying to emulate someone who claims they can make x amount of money day in and day out. Now that covestor is open to everyone, there’s no reason not to use it and prove you are who/what you say you are.
Tim, you are the only blogger I know of that has this kind of transparency. I won’t name names (you’ve written a full post on a trade this ‘kid’ executed in the last month), but there are some on the blogosphere who claim these extraordinary results day in and day out, but get defensive/hide when asked y they don’t show all their trades. Every1 knows not to take someone’s word for it down here in the gutter of wall street known as penny stock land.
Meh. I won’t have transparency until Covestor and IB work out a deal to allow for automatic importing from IB. My Covestor account is only for my ThinkorSwim account, which I rarely use.
And of course, my gain in CNEH.ob was in my IB account, so no pretty numbers for my TOS account and Covestor.
Every week is a lesson. All of us have similar but different strategies.
I have learned discipline and patience since becoming a trader.
But have learned to see the trend and Tim’s strategy.
Besides money, lessons from our mistakes are our profit!
Let’s get rich!

the Market Fantom
Tim,
From what I see most of trades are long. I know you said your not against it but it seems thats most of your strategy.
Then just using a pump n dump when it comes along?
fantom, whatcha smokin, i want some, 90% of my trades are shorts, most brokers dont differentiate between buys/buys to cover and short sells/sells…its confusing i know, welcome to the strategy
fantom are you talking about how covestor lists trades? it doesn’t display going long or short. you just have to look at the sold price as when it was shorted and the buy as when it was covered for the majority of tims trades. it wold be much nicer if they could break all that out but they don’t, in the meantime just think backwards!
TGC the gap up this morning!!! TIm your site is corrupting my confidence I once had to buy and hold despite the dips and stay in the stock for the greater cause, and that’s knowing that it will move in my favor….. how can I get that back—- not blaming you TIM- I am just joking/although serious…. anyways- I am considering funding two accounts- one with over 25k, and leave my tos as it is…I am sick of trading with handcuffs
why wouldnt u buy the TGC breakout? its perfect
And here is my tiny Covestor account tryin to make a gain this month.
Do you see this breakout the same as PDO?
all Speculative…….? or actually some fundamentals behind it- not that I care, I just want to make the money ;)
