18, Yes 18, Stocks I’m Considering Trading Today

Gonna be interesting with a 1PM lunch meeting (at the Plaza, anybody feel free to stop by and make me look like a popular blogger! Seriously)…trying not to think about how I’m $175 under the big $20k, up 11% on the month, 14% on the quarter and now 60% since inception…even with all my mistakes…even with the markets getting wrecked…oh wait that’s thinking about it, damnit!

LAUD
Broke out perfectly at $3.40 all the way to $4 (and probly more today) and as I alerted TIMalert subscribers at $3.65, I missed my executions at $3.40, $3.47 and $3.50…then got chicken…good news is, as usual, my shortcomings don’t matter, I just throw what I see out there for you guys—Yngvai got some at $3.47 and sold out right before the close for an easy $150, or 10%, gain inside of an hour

Mike the machinist and a few others got in too…this 50 cent/share gain…so far…was telegraphed a mile away, just gotta get comfortable with slow OTCBB executions and buying blatant frauds…this could really spike…reserve shares just in case

HYHY
Finally cracked, anybody still have shares short? If so, good job, patience is goooood, me, me, I want some!

ROYL/MXC/FPP/PDO
These are the four amigos that all went parabolic/Supernova…now ROYL has broken out again (usually only good for short quick short scalps and buys on morning squeezes possible afternoon fades) MXC has broken down (don’t try to dip buy or scalp long, hugely bearish when all others hold up), FPP is trying to breakout–$7.85 is clear double-top right now, if it breaks and has volume, ould take out stop losses at $8 and run immediately to $8.50…but it’s gotta breakout into strong sellers and PDO which got slammed by a report calling it overvalued (Citron surprisingly soft, means they got nothing, actually a positive, short squeeze still on, as evidenced by late day runup…watch out for possible fades though)

In short, reserve shares of each for different kinds of possible shorting, just in case as it costs you nothing!

URRE
Made $200 shorting it for 15 cents, TIMalert subscribers know the whole trade, decent little scalp, but good news is there could/should be another short squeeze today, buying opportunity for you guys who like upwards waves, good shorting for those of us who are comforted by the tons and tons of bitter shareholders in this and the seemingly unending amount of sellers at every turn…ideally it spikes in the morn, fades/plunges in the afternoon…or maybe even another bouncy up day…have no expectations, just reserve shares to short

HYGS
Squeezed a lot of over-confident shorts…remember, a red day is guaranteed until the maket close…that’s why I don’t like shorting mid-day…ahhh yes, another time-tested lesson learned

AUSE
Spammer 12 cents away from breakout, then it should be somewhat easy 25-50 cents of upside…in spam we trust, make sure it breakouts first though and not double-tops

GRZ
Morning spiker, gradual fader, afterhours permit news…not my kind of stuff, not up enough, reminds me of NYNY, good for 10-20 cent/scalps which make you go bald from too much worrying

KRY
Big up move, permit news related…blehhh, at least more volatile than GRZ, reserve shares just in case

UEC
Spiked for a gradual month early in the year, this looks steeper, good for quick reversal possibility…reserve shares just in case

XRIT
Remember this one? The gradual runup continues and it actually crossed over some moving averages, watch it!

LGDI
Keep consolidating well, breaking out small…when is the big breakout? Today? Tomorrow? Ever? It’s really gotta get more volume though

IDAE
Spammer/gradual upward trender finally had a big up day on strong volume…more to come? Charts says too early to short, but you need know how quickly these things collapse, reserve shares just in case

SPDE
Fluffy iPhone news was hyped all over message boards in the morn, big afternoon fade shows how BS it all was…learnnnn the message board hype game

BSHF
Sent out another round of spam mail, if it takes out resistance at 2.25, that opens the door to 2.50 and beyond…to spam infinity and beyond!

    Brent, unless your watching the chart on BQI like a hawk, I wouldn't be touching it. 3 minute chart is not healthy, It would have made a good short earlier, same for FPP and ROYL, but the 3 minute charts on them indicate too much risk vs reward right now, even for a quick scalp.just my thoughts...I haven't done anything at all today yet...just watching fins and oils and looking for a play

    Vu thx; i have 5 minute real time. not 3. I almost SS at that HOD at 6.25 but chickend out. Dailies have it breaking ysterday low looking to take out the 6/20 Low of 5.73then it looks down to 5.37. just my thoughts still paper trading....

  • quotes like "i'm not worried at all, i'll wait until prices drop" are the surest path to disaster...when trading ALWAYS be worried that your pitiful attempt at analysis--there's simply too many variables at work on 99% of possible trades--is wrong

    Connection with financials and housing is the FOMC meeting. The two sectors always run before the meeting like clockwork. There is a big correlation in activity. I'd short both sectors after the news. Of course the best play was the morning shorts in all the small cap oils with PDO being the most sought after short play.

    GRO has broke past 7. Missed this one early. Could test 8+ by tomorrow which is recent 1 months high. I'd short it under 7 and maintain a long position as long as it stays above this number.

    Have you watched Tim's DVD? - just curious. I just seem to stress too much and fake myself out of trades- I wanted to short PDO yesterday around $44, got scared- shorted this morning at 36 and covered at 34- it was a profit, but I'm basically going on gut instincts and what I think are setups- if you haven't learned your style from Tim, I'd like to know where- don't know if I could ever buy a stock like VEXP at .65 after the huge run-up, but sure enough- it hit $1!

    OK That wasnt worth it. Bought 2100 shares of VEXP 2 orders to get filled. .91-.93 not to bad. Tried to sell @ 1.09 down to 1.05 couldnt get any fills finally sold at 1.02 with 9 orders and 15 min of time all for 165.00 profit. But profit is profit LOL

    EVAN-- I am use to Tim's style, I have a good idea of his setups and what he seeks, but personally I have yet to see the dvd... I have been following him for months now- and I have learned, from him and his mistakes...I do not act on all his plays, only the ones I agree with-- I just wish he holds his shorts longer- the seem to tank even lower the next day.... as far as my buying, I like buying on same day news/earnings- and dumping after the run up- the stock most of the time tanks after all the hype.... I believe most stocks have a learned behavior....

    Don't short a stock specifically because of a lawsuit. Every stock trading in the market is being sued. Reason TOMO is up today is because of this.

    you would like trading UYG then - faster than XLF. also SKF which is the financial ultrashort but you can get a heart attack trading that stock. its nuts. i dont see much in PDO but i shorted XTO in the morning session. Follows OIH, also RIG is good but I didnt touch it today. Coal stocks were also on a sharp decline!

    Its a useless and silly exercise to come out here and attempt to trade with less than 25K. Personally, I started with 5K back in 1995 and have made well over a million with that initial investment. I think the rules suck and I could not have made it with the new rules since I was just a cab driver at the time. Now I'm the best daytrader in the market. I would never try to daytrade with less than 25K if I was starting over now. Its too hard waiting for 3 days for trades to clear.

    Nice short on XTO. Yea, UYG is very volatile because it's X 2. Some good trading ETF's out there with good volatility (SKF, FXP). I feel bad for those OIL shorts that played the DCR. I believe this one expires this week. Stock market is like walking in a whorehouse then picking which girl from the lineup you want. Not that I know from experience. haha But many times we make a good pick and many times it's a bad performer.

    Bestdaytrader, I think you misunderstand the rules. You have to wait 3 days for trades to clear if you have a cash-only account. With a margin account you can trade up to 4 day trades in a 5 day period.

  • bestdaytrader, you're a funny guy, i'm sorry not everyone has 25k, really i am, but people with under that amount shouldnt be forced to have to only earn 5-20% (at best) in mutual funds, sharebuilder-type shit...as i think i've proven over the last 7 months, it is possible to make 60% returns, even while making every mistake in the book and doin it on a part time basis...u dont think everyone should be given that chance to learn and earn?

I know it's petty, but I hate entering a post, having to scroll to the bottom after it refreshes, clicking on "Show all", waiting for that to refresh, then scrolling to the bottom again.     Dang! That's less than one trade per day if my math is correct! I could never have quit my day job to daytrade with less than 1 daytrade per day! 4 daytrades in 5 days LOL! I made over 50 trades per day on my 5K for years. You have to be able to trade in and out constantly to make it.

    Upgrade two notches from neutral to strong buy with $11 target. No reason for the upgrade according to the representative. Hmm. last week the stock hit a new 52 week low and today gets upgraded. Funny stuff. Looks like someone is trying to get their clients out with this upgrade.

    Keith back in those days we didn't need 25K to churn our money. 5K was enough to play penny stocks, which I did for years. I spent all my profits on parties, booze, etc. When the rules changed I had to build up my account so now I have over 25K. But I still spend my profits the same way. I consider myself the Best Daytrader in the market because I was able to quit my job and survive for 13 years now, with my lifestyle. All my buddies that started back then lost all their money. I'm the only one left.

    Well thats great but dont dis people that dont have 25k to play the game with and learn.And as far as "making it" with less than 25k as Tim and many others here it can be done.It just happens to be a different style than yours.I trade with a broker that doesnt allow shorting stocks under 5.00 and I am doing just fine.I believe everyone has to have there own style of trading with the basic understanding of the market and physcology of the other traders. And with these few skills and determination you will succeed. So stick your negativity up your ASS!!!! Oh ya best of luck to you.

    I think I am alittle different than most on this sight, I do have 25k and a very successful italian restaurant down here in FL. I am 42 years old married with 3 kids. I make a very good salary and have several hundred thousand in long term IRAs,401ks,and real estate. I have made alot of money in the market over the years but never short term daytrading.I am willing to learn with very little capital at risk because I have learned the value of money over the years. Mostly because of running my business. At some point I will sell my Restaurant and hope i will be able to daytrade for my basic bills water,electric,etc.Good Luck to all

I didn't like working for the man because I preferred drinking, partying, womanizing, and other stuff. So I put my only money at risk. Look at me today I'm the dang best daytrader in the market. Put up 25K and be a man.
