hedge fund book1 More Glowing Reviews For An American Hedge Fund: Entertaining & Profitable

Can’t Stop, won’t stop…my book just keeps praised, especially by people saying it’s actually entertaining (the ultimate compliment for a finance book) so I gotta keep featuring that praise…until every last one of you reads it!

The first two refers to the new audiobook version, available on iTunes HERE and Audible HERE)

Outright one of the best books out there. A real eye opener yet very entertaining. A must read/listen for everyone starting or already seasoned stock traders.

-John Reynald, from Philippines

This book is hugely entertaining. Timothy’s story is interesting, honest and well told. The problem with this book is that it misses the authors purpose and goal. You will learn about a few trading techniques but the book is not detailed enough to help you really understand the concepts of these trading tactics and sadly you will not learn what exactly a Hedge Fund is. Recommended if you have a little background knowledge.

-Jan, from Naestved, Denmark

Just finished your book Tim. IMO, it’s very good. A good tale of the rise and downfall laid out in an entertaining and easy to read manner. I am not a reader at all. I work in the IT industry, so most of the reading I do are IT books that I treat as reference manuals. I haven’t read a book cover to cover since I was a kid and I finished yours in 3 sittings.

-GT

And, I have to throw in THIS latest one cuz I actually helped a trader turn profitable too:

Tim,
After reading your book, and watching 2 of the 4 dvds (I’ll finish the other 2 tonight or tomorrow), and studying the manual, its seems that you have always preferred small cap nasdaq stocks for shorting. I’ll stick with TOS. I’m up $1311.32 in two and a half weeks of trading with them…Any coincidence that I was in the red until I found your site? Up $2200 now for the year, after recovering the $800 I lost pre-Tim. Thanks a million!

Read (or rather listened) to it last week on Audible.com, Tim. It was very entertaining actually, it was on the ipod so I listened in the car, while out inline skating, etc. Well worth the time, and I see some of my trading emotions in your stories. It helps me in my perspective.

  • balls...or just plain nuts...
I was just reading some forum posts on Zecco. I think its hilarious how so many people can let simple rules go right over their head. "4 out of 5 of my stocks went down after good earnings...", "I can't figure out the pattern these stocks follow after earnings..."
So STOP buying into earnings reports! I learned that on one trade. Not to mention its one of Tim's cardinal rules.

    TOS users,

is it true TOS stopped shorting on the OTC market?

    Thinking about going to IB...
  • Well I think I found a potential explosive stock. This one has just started being promoted by otcstockexchange.com
agoracom.com among others. The ticker is NILR.OB. Right now its at .29.

I feel some pump and dump action coming.
  • Liam
You should definitively come to Austin Texas for a speaking event! Lots of economic majors at UT plus Austin is booming plus me- a high school student that stalks your site day and night.

  • awesome liam, email me the appropriate people's contact info and we'll set it up

    fantom, try speedtrader too
  • cibola
Def hit up Austin. We'll take you to 6th st.
  • YngvaiMalmsteve
    Hey, Fantom,

Yeah, it's true. But as Tim says, not many OTC stocks make good shorts anyway.

Also, I think TOS is better for people with small accounts. This is because you can actually do more than 4 day trades every rolling 5 days under their day-trade buying power rules. I don't know how it works exactly, but I just know I've done more than 4 no problem. It's pretty nice because it allows you to get out of losing trades quickly without completely messing up your ability to trade on subsequent days.

Anyone ever look at lacatestock.com? There was an article about it in the MSN Money site. Basically its a broker for short sellers. Lists the top 5 shorted stocks and has a stock ticker that has a rating system for each symbol for the level of shorting. I checked it out a little bit. You're going to get a lot of real companies on there more then the microcrap junk companies that a lot of us play.
  • younggunz
Man I must still be waking up. I meant to type locatestocks.com not lacate.
