Penny Stock King Guest Post: A Few Stocks I’m Watching and The World’s Oldest Pump and Dump

Forget about my watchlists, there’s a new PennyStocker in town and his name is Tony Ellis…He’s a PennyStocking DVD student / grad student who never really traded much before this year, but is now up a sweet $55,000 in 2008 even while attending school! He’ll soon have his own column here, but today I’m reposting his watchlist…look at the guy go, charts and price points included, no frivolous commentary whatsoever, watch out Sykes!

Here are a few I’m watching nothing ideal just a few I may daytrade this week.

Disclosure: I have no position in any of the following stocks.

NGAS-Oil stock not far from its 52 wk high of 9.35. I’m a buyer on a break of this level with volume spike to go along. Only a day trade for me, too much news political risk with Oil right now to be long overnight.

SCU-Another Oil stock nearing another breakout. 1.58 is the 52 wk high but I’d enter above 1.50 since it has touched that level three times and the only candle above that level is the shadow and not real body. Day trade only.

KOG-Sorry, I promise I don’t only trade Oil stocks. Their charts just look the best to me right now. Buy point on KOG is 4.17.

CPSL-Chinese Steel Company if you couldn’t tell by the name. Missed the perfect short opportunity after the first down day but it looks like I might get another opportunity. 5.08 is the low since the gap up a couple weeks ago. A drop below this level and a few stop losses at 5.00 this could be 4.50 within minutes. I looking to short a drop below 5.08 and only a day trade.

I came across this company over the weekend while scanning for potential plays. CTT-Competitive Technologies, Inc., could be the world’s oldest pump and dump that is still trading. I have to admit that I haven’t researched this other than reading a few press releases on Yahoo Finance but I have a feeling they have discovered a new revolutionary technology every three to five years since 1974 only to have it not work out. Hopefully we can get one more pump to short into. I guess the saying Wall Street never changes is true. This time the stock didn’t change just new suckers. Let’s have a contest to see who can find an older one.

another old play Tim's familiar with IIJI it's at its resistance of the low 9's where its dropped the last 4 times. It's only up 9% but it could be good if it drops 8.90 or crack 9.15-20.

So far PTEK has failed to break the Fri high of 5.25 during the morning spike. 4.41 is the low for Fri and support. If this breaks you'll see 4 in quick order. I'll add to short position at 4.40.

Loved how you made fun of doublingstocks.com on livestock. It's a pump and dump at its finest. I have signed up for this newsletter about a couple months ago for $40 just to see what it was all about. After a month I requested for a refund and got it. They still send weekly picks to me eventhough I have already receivd my refund. Dumbasses!
Anyways...I received a pick from them this morning at market open. It is MYEC. I have been watching this one today and it has popped about 18% today. My question is what do you think about a potential short on this one?

This one isn't following crude prices. Was actually down when oil jumped 20 bucks in 2 days. I'b be a buyer if you see a break of 3 which looks like resistance.

Yes I go to UF. I am in my last semester then I am done. I will be able to focus much more on the market. There is nothing worse then getting a stock alert when your in class. Its so hard to concentrate on classes when their is so much money to be made. GO GATORS!!!!!

Remember don't just short random stocks. Make the odds work in your favor. PTEK and NYNY are what I'm playing now. Looking to cover both tomorrow. PTEK at 4 and NYNY at around 2.

NYNY could go down based on that chart. The perfect short entry would have been at 3.50 when it broke first line of support. I don't think NYNY is going to squeeze anyone at these levels but it might take some time to reach my target. Was a $1 stock less than a few months ago. PTEK is a better play than NYNY at these levels. PTEK has plenty of downside left after it breaks the 4 number. Had 10 straight days in the red before doubling recently.
