A Bunch Of Stocks That Make Me Unworthy Of The Flawed Google Finance

Posted by timothysykes on Thu 5th of Jun, 2008 08:29:35 AM

If you’ve noticed or even cared, I was using companies names cuz Google Finance was picking this blog up…now that I mention some of the same stocks day in day out, I’m out, apparently. WTF Google, these stocks are play! That’s fine, one day they’ll wake up and realize how crappy some of their sources are, listing the % gainers day in day out, pleaseeeee, grow up Peter Pan. Scummy website you know who you are, you make me sick, just like the rest of this soulless industry. Good Morning F$#@edupnam!

Today’s failing companies—if you flash forward Lost-style—are brought to you by Finance—the industry where scumbags have the power…for now…meaning this Philsopher King is gonna have to take over…

PokerTek, Inc. (PTEK) and GRO were the two I successfully shorted yesterday, now I’m hoping they both spike and fade so I can reshort them today…better chances on PTEK offering a big morning short squeeze, especially with joke of a PR fluff news afterhours, why are failing companies so bad at appearing successful? It’s ironic that total frauds pull off a better job, right?

ROYL I have royally screwed up on this one, missing buying the easy breakout at $8 and now yesterday the easy breakdown at $10…I will short this if and when it cracks $8.80, no support until $8, but be careful of morning spikes, ideally it’s a morning spiker / afternoon fader, but I doubt we’ll get that lucky

Hollis-Eden Pharmaceuticals Inc. (HEPH) is spiking, every spike in the past has been a good short, careful patterns evolve…sometimes

SQNM had positive drug news, welcome to ACOR all over again, early shorts welcome, please get trampled to death, I’ll make some popcorn

Heckmann Corporation (HEK) is trying to become a Chinese water play…let it spike, strange big block buying, I hate how that happens with real companies, blehhhh gross

PINN was all hyped up on TheLion and what’d it do? It did what the chart said it would do, breakdown. Don’t listen to anybody, including me, except the charts

OMNI is a sweet fade, too bad it only has like 30 cents of downside left…good luck squeezing that

CIWT is a straight up vertical chart up waaay more than wannabe PGOG

GETG is a good volatile spammer

MMGW won’t stop, can’t stop

SOIS and CYPW are two you should be watching

  1. Tim, do you ever go long (or recommend) on stocks like SOIS and CYPW?

  2. cypw…get their newsletter regularly. seemingly got some orders recently. or expressed intentions of others to order eventually, LOL.

  3. SHFL another casino related stock, earnings due Monday, volume/price up a bit recently, may take a position today, depends on the action. Still researching, anyone else know this stock? Looks like a loser, but not very volatile.

  4. LEI just had news 2 mins ago, watch for the action

  5. 5

SQNM like ACOR? Come on?! Why push bad mojo on me? We shall see if I can get out early with a small profit.

  6. 6

Thinking about going long ASIA with tight stop.

  7. Is it safe to use the auto-verification on covestor? I am kind of nervous to give out my info like that.

  8. PCYC just hit pre,news too,watch action

  9. 9

    IDEV bounce

  10. LEI is up big pre-market

  11. 11

DESC gonna get crushed at open, maybe a bounce later

  12. 12

What’s up with LFXG…looks like similar business plan as MXFD. Think they have same PR?

  13. 13

    FPP late pre hit

  14. Tony look what happens with the promo ends- like last time

  15. i reshorted GRO at 6.83 yesterday. Its looking weak in premarket.

  16. 16

    ROYL, cracked 8.80

  17. 17

Tim, got out of SQNM at 9.16 for about $100 gain after commissions. Don’t freak me out with talk about ACOR like that again. It just makes me gunshy.

  18. 18

The bid/ask gap on CIWT is hilarious!!! Bid $2.47/Ask $6.50!!!

  19. being gunshy is good. ROYL breakdown was ugly as expected

Nice to see ROYL in the red this morning

  21. short 1,000 PTEK at 5.60

  22. 22
    YngvaiMalmsteve -

Got shares of SOIS reserved, will wait for afternoon to see what it’s doing then

  23. 23

even if i got out too quick of ROYL, who knows, made a $250 holding overnight. That was too dangerous of a play

  24. Still holding on to half of my short position (GRO) I am aiming for under 6….. it will get there

  25. 25

    SOBGF a wild ride

  26. short 1000 PTEK at 5.60, i like the action (failed spike, plenty of sellers), not ideal…yet (gotta take out 5.40), but willing to add if it goes higher

  27. Short 1000 shares of gro at 6.5

  28. Ptek- I wish I got in around 5.75—- too late now- I will sit and watch….so far it looks like a good short.

  29. Missed my PTEK fill at 5.45 right before that tank to 5.20… a little choked

  30. ptek- 5.20 and going down..nice TIm!

  31. out at 5.40…got greedy, when it took out 5.40, i placed my buy at 5.16…shouldnt been 5.21 cuz there was a big buy order at 5.20, now big buy orders, i got out into the ask…stupid…$200 profit in 30 minutes, coulda woulda shoulda been $400

  32. 32

Whew, Tim, you see SQNM??? Glad I got out in the first 5 minutes

  33. 33

Actually, since its hitting new highs wouldn’t this be a good opportunity for an afternoon fade?

  34. Bought 500 LEI @ 5.00

  35. Mike_13th - DESC file chapter 11.. how do think this will make the share bounce back… I’m sure they running scare and selling. right?

  36. Still short my PTEK I think this thing is the biggest POS and It should be at least at 4 I am watching it closely will add more if I have to.

  37. STOP CONSIDERING SQNM, IT’S NOT OUR KIND OF PLAY, IT’S FRIGGIN ACOR ALL OVER AGAIN

PTEK, should go down, but it still hasnt gone red so odds still favor spiking

  38. Watching PTEK it should be a negative day today and then the plunge tom

  39. if PTEK closes the window are you gonna reshort tim

  40. Here is a Pump and dump penny stock if anyone is interested got it as a mailer RUNU. I know its not what most follow here but it might be a buy the pump.

  41. Timothy i am almost ready to buy your DVD’s. Where can i find a description of the content in DVD’s? Or can you tell me if it will teach how to find stocks, what to look for? How to execute a trade? May be examples in real figures rather then just theory?

  42. I pressed the key to buy LEI @ 5.00 then a minute later the PPS goes down. I’m about to sell it for a loss so it’s about to go up.

  43. Al long or short LEI at $5 ?

  44. Who is a good broker to go thru for short selling? My bank i dont think does that. I’ve been reading ur page for awhile now TIM and i still dont understand how u make money on stocks by the price going DOWN!?!? crazy….but i want in on it LOL.

  45. Sold LEI @4.86 :{

  46. AJF-ESQ

I was long now I’m out. I ‘m starting a trading log detailing my trades ie; what went right, what went wrong, what signs or signals I missed etc… Maybe that will help.

  47. Tim.. trying to get ur DVD.. but i’m still in the red of $700, before I found your site. Need to make it back before I can buy your DVD.. ; (

  48. long 10000 RUNU @.06
