15 Stocks In Play But Most Of Them Are Useless For Trading

Northern Technologies International Corp (NTI) I successfully scalped this one yesterday for about $400, but its strength shows these short picks can and should also be played from the long side…detailed post coming…but I look to short again, but only if it’s a worthy pattern

MAXLIFE FUND CORP (MXFD) I nailed this one breakout in yesterday’s pre-market post even though I said squeeze to $30 and only was up $5+ to $27ish…my bad…squirm shorties, squirm, especially Goode, that’s what you get for spamming my site and not putting me on your blogroll sucka

CKX Lands Inc (CKX) is another low marketcap pick by Lionmaster along with higher marketcap play IndyMac Bancorp, Inc. (IMB). I’ll probly look to short CKX either today or tomorrow, again, be careful of short squeezes.

Security With Advanced Technology Inc. (SWAT) is only a $6 million company, don’t short $6 million companies. Wait for it to go up more. End of story.

Akeena Solar, Inc. (AKNS) was up big due to an ANALyst’s comments…not that the analyst is anything great, it’s just because it gives brokers a reason to earn a commission pushing this stock on wanna-profit-from-rising-oil-somehow idiot investors. I hope we get 5 more ANALysts over the next 5 days saying the same thing, all them put together don’t have the brainpower of a Miss Hawaiian Tropic pageant.

Beacon Power Corp. (BCON) is another ANALyst play, but at least its chart is starting to resemble last July’s spike, which turned out to be a great shorting opportunity…mind you I said starting to

Himax Technologies, Inc. (ADR) (HIMX) is a real company…What the deuce? Why is this on this list, it ain’t even breaking out of any range, I’m sorry, I gotta get back to you as to why it’s on this list, let me call my Google Finance SEO department manager…for shame!

Newpark Resources, Inc. (NR) Oh come on man, another real company that’s a little up, but isn’t playable. What do you think this is some useless site that never really says nothing and just rack up ad dollars like SmallCapInvestor.com? Uh oh, I think I just made another friend!

Chico’s FAS, Inc. (CHS) Alright it’s not funny anymore, these real companies just suck for trading, featuring them serves no purpose whatsoever…stop!

Cogent, Inc. (COGT) OK, now you’ve gone and pissed me off, you really gonna close out this post by mocking the joke that is financial journalism?

Kosan Biosciences Incorporated (KOSN) Would be a good short since it’s up 200% on the day except it just got halted and is probly a buyout…

I saw that it was overbought on the 60 min chart. On top of that, it layed out a doji on the final 15 minute bar. It caught my eye late in the day due to the long wicks that formed on the 30 minute chart (as you can tell, I watch multiple time frames). So, various signals confirmed that we had a good probability to open lower in the morning.

I have reserved NTI as well, but I will wait a little bit, volume is still low, only 13000 shares changed the hands in the first half hour and there is no wall of sellers (or buyers) on level II as of now (10:09 EST). Anyway, goodluck, Tim!

ENVI came across my radar on it's first green day...been watching on the sidelines as it rose, so that I didn't "chase", little did I know it would rise as far as it did. I did however know for sure after 2 days up it would reverse like it did today. Questions is: did you get any shares?

Could you start a forum post for people's screens? I'd love to share my screen criteria, and see others especially. I seem to consistently be finding the same picks everyone sees and some (which I'm extremely proud of) before others see too. I consider myself a noob, but figure the more knowledge we share the better. Another blog post I'd like to see is reading Level 2 (many requests for that I'm sure already) and Newsletters (all about what you see and where you subscribe, etc.) Teach a man to fish....

Man TIM. I went back and looked at all three stocks...PDO, FPP, MXC. And after what you said, BANG!!! All of them went up! I think I found a new way to play?!? and LOOK all of them are starting to fall again.

One question? Why not play these shorts for a long time? MXC has got to come back to "home" after a while? this is what you state in your DVD.

I'm gunshy at FPP's current price. After losing $1500 on NTI today, I feel a bit squirmish. Maybe I'll wait till tomorrows afternoon squeeze and go long on FPP, MXC and PDO.

children, children, let us not become animals like elitrader...the spike on NTI was caused by superman on thelion, gotta be quick or just stick to shorting in the afternoon. the spike on FPP was caused by the fact that its down so much and greedy short sellers hung on too long...considring many of u were those greedy jews, i probly shoulda recongized that and squeezed your naive asses.

ah well, no more trading, now its time to write scripts for tomorrow's livestock!

Thanks Web. Gary's logic in believing that Tim's followers are able to distinctively affect stock price is completely false. Regardless of how many followers Tim has, he recommends on average 10 stocks as potential plays each day, every stock usually has over 100K in volume (at least), every reader of Tim usually follows some other blogs or investing site (Investorslive, The Lion, etc...), those sites offer their picks, also, as Tim and I argued about earlier this month on account sizes, it would be fairly safe to assume that a majority of Tim's followers (the one's who trade like he does) have account sizes of under 20K, even if any of the above is false, if only one statement is true...

THAT IS LIKE DROPPING A SINGLE DROP OF RED FOOD COLORING IN THE OCEAN AND EXPECTING IT TO CHANGE COLOR.

That is why Gary is an idiot. Plain and simple...logic.
