That’s right, if you enjoyed reading my book An American Hedge Fund, you’re gonna love its audio version! It was actually quite an adventure getting it made as I solicited dozens of voice over artists, finally settling on this guy Brett Barry, who did an incredible job with my book. Clocking in at just under seven hours, the story will obviously pump you up (especially the first half…before reality sets in), but mixed in with this guy’s soothing voice, well, it’s something definitely worth checking out.
There’s several ways to purchase this audiobook–you can download it on iTunes for $15.95 (I have no link…can you even link directly to something on iTunes?), Audible for $17.47 and even if you don’t have access to an mp3 player (what are you, the Unabomber?), you can even purchase this audiobook that comes loaded on a really cool little mp3 player from Playaway digital for $34.99 (commonly sold in airports and can probly be found in your local library too…if not, you can request they stock this title!) and of course on Amazon for $34.99, which is actually the Playaway version…I think (i’m sure Audible will be listed on there soon).
Now all that’s left is to put the book on Kindle–but do any of you guys even have one?

I’m holding overnight…just decided. I’m not going to miss out on a $1000 if this thing hits $4. I just can’t settle for $200 when $1K is out there and there is very little risk for me.

Too late, damn. Anyways, I’m up $400 in my FPP overnight short, hopefully it tanks like it did this morning in early morning trading.

EBS is already down from close 10.55 to 10.09 afterhours..

buying mxfd will certainly be interesting, good luck…i’d be quick to flip it, but then again after calling it perfectly in my morning post i didnt even play it at all :(

Tim, down to business. When I opened up my scottrade account months ago, the options are there for the type of account, Individual, IRA, etc. But also it had option of business.
What type of business can you form that you can soley purchase stock as a business entity?

Goose, it’s Mavrick here… Tim is in business… to make money. What he offers is commentary on stocks. If you post about any plays you’re looking at, he’ll comment on them for you.
Tim is all about entertainment. That’s what separates him from the pack… can you imagine getting this information from a “suit” type? Fuck I’d cut my own throat!

QUESTION…
What does scalping mean? How does it work? I understand this is for more experienced traders… but I’d still like to understand.

Scalping is just when you profit off of very small price movements. Alot of the time it is easier to determine if a stock will swing 10 cents/share rather than huge moves so people scalp. Pretty damn hard to be an effective scalper with the SEC regulation on small accounts but scalpers can make hundreds of trades a day.
I kind of like Scottrade. Not being able to short sub $5, bb and pinks sucks. They had plenty of FPP to short for a nice $3500 profit.
Here you go noobie; Tim’s strategy is he waits for a stock that is worthless and gets built up on some none sense and he bet’s against it. Whats called short selling. I know it sounds crazy, but believe it me works. I made 300 dollars in little over an hour for my second try. These guys are bringing in 1000k or more sometime in a day.
Catch the stock in the day at its peak, then short it.
The more you read the more you understand. Get the DVD or the book. Also read at least 200 blogs here, next get a marginal account at Think OR Swim. Make sure Tim gets the credit.
Next thing you know your raking in more cash then you can count.

Was traveling today but managed to get in some good plays (we’ll see tom) Short FPP the other day and holding till we break 4, I think that price point will send this thing plunging. I also entered into the EBS trade going long into the close for the probably gap up play in the morning but will watch this one carefully because it shed some cents in the after-hours. Will look tonight for potential plays for tom.

Deposited my teeny tiny cad$ 5000 cheque, and US$ 4987 were deposited in my account, while the cad$ has been trading all week long over par. sent an email complaining, and the representative insists that canadian $ is trading over par. $ 100 dollar difference ($25 after the hefty commission) AHHHHHH!!!!
Got screwed, will let know if they correct it. other way I’ll have to suck and live life $25 poorer and with one less year of life because of their mistake and my anger management issues…. AAAHHHH !!!!!!!

Getshorty, I just deposited a 5500 dollar check yesterday and only got charged 13$ for the conversion. Unless the exchange rate did something crazy in between our deposits i cant explain why you got so screwed.
oh and long 250 shares EBS at 10.20 about an hour before the close. crossing fingers for a gap up.

No Tim you are absolutely wrong here.
Scott has the BEST hod list going even if they don’t know it and never advertise it.
It is a scrolling hod list that has helped me get gains of over 100% every month for the last 4 months.
Yeah as far as trading it stinks but I just keep the minimum $500 in it just to use that feature.
Use IB or TOS if you are a serious daytrader!

Hey Codyhof, samething happened to me, the thing is we should have received more in US$ that what we deposited in cad$ since cad$ is trading over par (you can get more than 1 us$ wih 1 cad$, don’t think is sutainable, just temporary caused by oil spike, shorted my ass out of the canadian $ at this point since I have long time horizon and it does not afect my available funds to trade stocks).
I am kind of getting over it.
Getting set to trade while working fulltime, will get a watchlist ready and set stop loss orders to short automatically if they break support.
Short 100 shares of cred, shorted at 16, covered at 15.44, reshorted at 15.77 this one is going down, broken supernova and i am in now hurry, trail order on place to get out on possible spike and then re-short at will, easy to borrow stock.
Me sleepy, me not made for work and trade. Tim, how many red bulls you pop a day? I had 4 coffees and 1 red bull today and could barely make it to 5 pm . And that is taking into account that I actually like my job.
