I’ve been posting about PDO, MXC and FPP the past few days—even taking quick losses totaling $400 shorting FPP and MXC too early (wisely as it turned out, as those losses would now be pushing $5,000!! Uhh yeah $5k in gains from the long side, if I had any talent whatsoever doing that, which I don’t)—but only after we’ve gotten 3 strong up days are they prime for potentially predictable reversals, the extent of which we’ll have to wait and see…by now you guys should know the signs fo what to look for.
Since we’ll surely be missing them when they’re gone soon, I gotta link to every other site that’s featuring them HERE, HERE and HERE.
MXC ($10 to $43 vertical action, but its got some fluffy news)
FPP ($2 to $6 worth of vertical action, but its got earnings)
PDO ($10 to $23 nearly pure vertical, but its got earnings)
ROYL ($2.50 worth of vertical action to reverse into)
CPSL (nice sideways action, slightly negative close)
BWEN (waaay too vertical, but already $1.50+ off its high)
MMGW (50 cents to $3, no sideways action yet)
SOLF (nice sideways action, but already had some stop losses taken out, earnings today)

QTWW ($1 of vertical action to reverse into)
BCON (only up 50 cents or so)
CPST (too gradual)

does anyone know when to sell short MXC? I am new to this by a long shot. Tim are you going to short MXC anytime soon? It’s around 50 right now.

so w/ my first short sale ever i technically made a profit :) got in at 7.60 and covered CPSL @ 7.50 after it bounced back up from 7.40 probably should have waited until this afternoon to do anything but at least i poped my cherry!

You basically want to set them a little bit over the maximum swings the stock has made in the last few days. Like a lot of things, it is part art and part science - eventually you get a feel for the volatility of a stock just like you do with whether the stock is going up or down.

royl, buy orders starting to fade after the oil inventory. If it takes out 6 should get a nice gain on the short side

out of FPP at 8.03, horrible entry, horrible exit, horrible trade, average up but i’m sure that’d break some stupid SEC rule and it’s my own fall for shorting before it went red….i need some sleep, 3 hours/night just makes u do stupid things.

FPP, Tim, why you shorted this one instead of PDO and instead of MXC? Thinking of shorting FPP here around 8, but wondering why this one instead of MXC. Only have one day trade left, don’t want to waste it cause it looks as a hell of a day coming.
jeffmoates - tim saying it only went up 50 cents in the blog or doenst tell me anything that i cant see myself from a chart.. except he donest want to short it yet if that is his only plan.. just wondering opinions on the continuing uptrend.. which is what the general trend is now..maybe for a while? i think it is worth my time…
Covered MMGW at $2.55 from $2.93 … still small time with only 400 shares. I think it could break down further but wouldn’t count on a break through $2.

Shorted 200 shares of HYBR at 5.4, making $26 so far, planning holding overnight since it an allready broken pattern ( and that I only have one day trade left until tomorrow, and sure I want to short MXC , PDO or FPP whatever breaks first).
Anybody coming along on HYBR?

sykeshater - sure I made money but its only because the path of least resistance on these is up. I wont even think of shorting untill they have a RED day. Im not hating on any of these shorters like you are, without TIM’s site I wouldnt be making money cuz I wouldnt know about these plays. Mad props to you TIM.

FPP keeps acting like its gonna fade. I still haven’t covered my short at 7.54. I think I’m gonna hold and hope for a big fade once the buyers dry up.

I know this isn’t the sideways action to look for but the 8.00 mark for FPP is where its been holding up.
Quick question, and Im not breaking balls here: If you believe so much in Tim and his system, why dont you just give him your cash to trade?? Seems logical right mr fund manager?? Something tells me you all have the good sense not to do that, he is a loser who in the long run woll have no cash to show for it. He claims to be a millionaire, if thats the case why didnt he keep his “fund” open?

If ROYL can break the $6 resistance again, there will definitely be some nice gains in there.
I’m not even going to bother shorting these energy plays. They are way too strong and there is no telling how high they’ll go. That’s why I’m buying them :) I’m already up over $350 on SSN today.
I’ve got a watch list of oil & gas plays and EVERY SINGLE ONE, except KOG, is in the green today
resistance on ROYL at $6 has been taken out, I may have missed my chance to get out of FPP though at a $100 loss…that’s what greed does to you.
Hater, you just made us all realize you are a fake.
If you were such a succesful trader as you claim to be, you would understand right away that when you manage a portfolio cash adds up. And trading something with as little flotation as penny stocks you influence prices too much to make the kind of quick gains we discuss here.

hater, i wouldnt want anyone to give me $, i’ve proven time and again to be undisciplined….you gotta stop thinking like a narrow minded wall street-type, its not just about who makes $ and who loses, its about learning all the angles. when i write about a losing trade, its no longer a bad thing cuz it helps people learn.
i’m not selling a system, i’m selling education, which is much more valuable cuz people can do with it what they want. think of me as a business professor teaching the basics and ideally having one of my students go onto create an empire. except i’m not teaching entrepreneurship, i’m teaching all the risks and rewards of penny stocks and momentum trading
