10 Stocks In Play: Where Do You Fit Into The PennyStocking Spectrum?

Posted by timothysykes on Tue 13th of May, 2008 08:05:09 AM

Remember: just cuz I suck at buying breakouts—patience and actually being around to buy-wise—doesn’t mean you’re gonna suck at it too. It’s much much much easier to buy these suckers on the way up than is it to short sell cuz it’s more fun to party than it is to inform everyone that the bar is closing and that the strippers all have STDs….that’s basically what it’s like to short these dirty scummy stocks. Below you see a wide range of PennyStocking patterns from which you could and should profit…really just gotta get grounded in my DVD course so you can understand all the variables at work so you can adapt to all the evolving patterns…obviously.

lgdi 10 Stocks In Play: Where Do You Fit Into The PennyStocking Spectrum?

vrml1 10 Stocks In Play: Where Do You Fit Into The PennyStocking Spectrum?

LGDI
VRML

Plummeted bigtime/nicely…despite my $1,000+ in gains between LGDI and VRML, holding one week longer coulda woulda shoulda been an extra $3,000 in profits at yesterday’s closing prices! Are you beginning to understand that as long as you short these turds just as their absurd Supernova buying firestorms appear to fade, even just a little bit, there’s a whole lot of $ to be made? (and despite my 56% return over the past 6 months, anybody who has a decent grounding in PennyStocking could should would be up 100%+ (See TIM results and Supernova slide above to better understand)

nnvc 10 Stocks In Play: Where Do You Fit Into The PennyStocking Spectrum?

psti 10 Stocks In Play: Where Do You Fit Into The PennyStocking Spectrum?

NNVC
PSTI

Already began to fade…missed NNVC, thanks a lot Chuckieeeeeeeeee, PSTI so gradual, anybody find any shares to short?

cnex 10 Stocks In Play: Where Do You Fit Into The PennyStocking Spectrum?

CNEX
Should soon fade, not foretold to me by the chart yet though, got 600 shares short at $6, gonna try to add more as high as possible, gotta balance finding more shares to short with how quickly the volume/price does or does not fade or else I might just get down $2-3/share and I can’t have that…today will be telling whether I take an annoying $300-600 loss or risk it some more (warning: this is a somewhat advanced strategy not fit for newbie PennyStockers)

aysi 10 Stocks In Play: Where Do You Fit Into The PennyStocking Spectrum?

AYSI
Failed breakout…so far…………that’s all I have to say about that

cpst 10 Stocks In Play: Where Do You Fit Into The PennyStocking Spectrum?

pdo 10 Stocks In Play: Where Do You Fit Into The PennyStocking Spectrum?

nls 10 Stocks In Play: Where Do You Fit Into The PennyStocking Spectrum?

CPST
PDO
KYUS
NLS

Gradual breakouts…CPST, you gotta buy that kind of breakout, too slow for me who has the patience of a guy-who-just-drank-water-out-of-the-tap-in-Mexico-and-can’t-find-a-bathroom…PDO I wasn’t around for that glorious breakout, damn you self-promotional TIM, damn you…..KYUS you friggin fabulous fraud you!…NLS, beginning to understand how earnings plays differ? Ahhh yes, I haven’t been in this game for a decade and not learned some things!

BPTH
EGTS

Gonna be great shorts sooner or later breakouts….BPTH,, uhh can we get some volume, please, nurse, we need some volume stat!…EGTS $1.20 is key breakdown level, but I’m hoping it’s a multi-day runner that squeezes the early shorts, ain’t nothing but a pump and dump baaaaby! Short squeezed is how I like it so were craaaaazay!

  • Tim don't feel bad about cpst, I've been following since it's been .80 and didn't get in until it was 1.56. So needless to say I'm still long on it.
  • i dont feel bad, even if i had been here, i probly wouldnt have played it as it moves too gradually for e to waste a precious trade/capital on...i do regret missing PDO and NNVC though
  • Dan-O
    TIMMAY!
  • sykeshater1
Whats your beef with the SEC anyway? I read your post about the WSW auditions, please explain your view here. That show is ridiculous, anyone worth their salt wouldnt be caught dead on it, if they ever want to work anywhere reputable anyway
  • J Monie
CPST's cash flow, income statement & balance sheet all look like hell.. what are your thoughts for the future of this stock traknologist.. I see they are got upgraded by Merriman to a Buy, Samsung deal & turbine order... Wonder where their headed in coming weeks now that they are hitting their highs, although they have continuously beat them..
  • will_the_thrill
tim, lookin to short BPSG, any thoughts?
  • short shot
STEC time to shit 2day imo....radar it imo
  • hater, i explain my beef in about 3 dozen posts, do some research before u waste my time

bpsg isn't up enough, who cares
  • Bob
    Tim,

    What about VSCI???
  • what about vsci, did u not read my article dont short randomly strong penny stocks? it already had its dip
  • YngvaiMalmsteve
I'm out any of today's plays. No buying power. Still holding my NNVC short...gotta let it bleed a bit more
  • Davey
Yea I was in on that dip on VSCI yesterday and the play is over...next. No real plays jumping out right now so I'm gonna sit back and wait for them to come to me. GL on CNEX by the way.
  • bullpicks6
Yea, I like to play the long side then the short side...profit both ways! Long right now on EGTS and PTSEF...PTSEF I don't think is a pump, I caught it on a scan last week...
  • Mark
Tim, What do you think about shorting NNVC today? Is it a bad move?
  • ochopsycho
    tim,

when do you think its time to get in DPDW. keeps chugging slowly, think it will mirror last year's bonanza?
  • Al
Anyone like NNVC on this dip? Also a PR out. or should I stop thinking again?
  • what would make u short nnvc here? its already dipped and rebounded

dpdw bores the hell out of me, kinda like some of these questions
  • bullpicks6
PTSEF on no volume, once it breaks above the MA here I think I'll sell, looking at the past on this chart it never sustains these moves.
  • Davey
NNVC had its fade yesterday, now its random unless it spikes hard again, and DPDW is random right now, probably a buy since its breaking out. Remember these plays turn random super quick, sometimes in the same day. VSCI and NNVC had big pullbacks already. Wait for ideal plays to open up.
  • sykeshater1
I read it jerkoff, its incoherent psycho babble. Sio I guess you fel that investment houses and traders on the Street should publicize their strategies, thats smart.
  • lmsmith
PDO- is flying out of the gates....... too bad I can't trade........ is this a classic break out- or another pump?
  • ochopsycho
just lost a reader. good luck timmy
  • i'll lose plenty of readers that cant take the harsh reality of trading
  • ochopsycho
    solid business mind
  • Davey
No hand-holding people, Tim's trading too. PDO is a legit breakout now, it broke down a while ago, consolidated and is not breaking out to new highs. No telling how high it goes. Stop asking for a million opinions on random stocks this isn't THE LIGHTNING ROUND!!! with Cramer.
  • getting killed on my CNEX, i gambled i'd be able to average up, but no shares available :(
  • Davey
Sorry, meant to say PDO is breaking out to new highs...
  • Webster
Tim if there are shares that we can pick up from other brokers does it seem like a good entry point even with steady climb?
  • twostep
scottrade doesn't have cnex as a marginable stock. Looks like I will be switching to thinkorswim in the near future.
  • lmsmith
Yeah I can see- what PDO is doing..... So of a lot of other stocks, I should could of- or would have played... ohh well

On Cnex--- thinking about cutting your losses Tim? or holding on-
  • Al
Tim if your bored with the questions don't bother replying.
    Too simple.
  • bullpicks6
CNEX is real risky, looks like same people doing EGTS that are doing CNEX, they will be operating with a ton of power if I'm right
  • holding CNEX....for now

i'll reply to all questions, i just want these guys to start thinking like pennystockers instead of random ass traders who lose money 90% of the time
  • Dan_O
Post your stock questions in the forums. You won't get an answer immediately but it doesn't matter anyway because you shouldn't trade anything (stocks / options / futures) until you know what you're doing.

Be patient, papertrade a few hundred times. Write down your results in a trade journal. Read a few books. Spend the time and it will save you money. LOTS of money.
  • will_the_thrill
I see ssbx is breaking out
  • bullpicks6
Dan_O I'd beg to differ, timing is everything when trading these things...you never want paralysis through analysis...but at the same time, if you're hinging your buys/sells on someone elses opinion you should go back to the drawing board and paper trade anyway
  • sykeshater1
DAn o is timmays lil bit**, isnt that apparent from reading his posts?? Tim, what do I do, tell me!!! Guy has no clue
  • Dan_O
Sounds like you agree to me.
  • Jose
how do i transfer my scottrade to thinkorswim
  • ju
u should call scottrade or thinkorswim
  • Dan_O
Jose, ask your broker for a ACAT. You'll have to choose to either liquidate your account or do a partial transfer.

It takes about 2 weeks, so be ready for that.
  • Davey
lol seriously this is getting crazy...how do you transfer my scottrade to thinkorswim? Look at the faqs on thinkorswim they'll help you. Why ask that here, you know how to figure that out.
  • dlee
ppl like jose annoy the fuck out of me. make an effort on your own first and try to ask think or swim before just posting on these boards.
  • bullpicks6
    lol
  • chris
Right! Jose, This ain't no FAQ post ya schlep ya!
  • bullpicks6
Looks like SSGI shorting EGTS here comes the squeeze
  • chris
Curious what your goal is Hater? After spending tons of your obviously valuable time here what do you hope to accomplish? Or are you flying your chopper thats equipped with state of the art wireless internet just passing the time?
  • THE BARBER
THIS PDO CANT GO UP FOREVER.. THIS STOCK IS BULLSHIT IM SORRY.. NO STOCK GOES UP 300% IN 20 DAYS. ITS JUST UNNATURAL..IM SORRY. TIME TO GO SHORT. GOOD RISK REWARD.
  • Davey
lol @ the barber...what kind of logic is that?
  • Oliver
    hey tim,
i am interested in your stock reviews. could you include in upcoming posts what they will look like.
is it all stocks or only pennystocking? how many words will it be?
those would be questions that i would find interesting, so i can have an expectation of what to see for the money.
    thank you
  • lmsmith
Look at CNEX---- that stock was just 1.05 5 days ago----
  • sykeshater1
Going into the summer months, things are extremely slow in the market as you may have heard Chris. Most people are sitting on cash waiting for conditions to improve, myself included. I am passing time by doing research and busting the balls of hacks that just like to hear the sound of their own voice like your boy Tim here. He couldnt make it in the real game so he decided to become a talking head. Those who know do, and those don't teach, or something to that effect. Yes, imsure Ive heard that somewhere before.
  • barber, i suggest u get my dvd before u make judgment calls like that, microcraps can and do go further than anyone expects, look at GENC. just got squeezed out of CNEX, covered at $7.20 cuz its about protection...

oliver, there's no set word count, its just 4-8 paragraphs, i cover everything i think necessary. it's $20, if u want my full opinion, thats what it costs

hater--forget those who can't do teach, u might have heard me say this but MY STRATEGY ISN'T SCALABLE PAST A FEW MILLIONS DOLLARS. call me crazy but i want more in life than that and thanks to the success of my tv show, u have no idea how any emails from confused people i get. u, like most in the industry think in back and white, thankfully--there's a massive door of opportunity for those of us who are experienced to just keep these newbies out of trouble and even more opportunity, thanks to all the lying scumbags out there, to being brutally honest, detailing mistakes for everyone to learn from
  • I got in at 1.56.... and I consistently adjust my stop loss in the event that I'm not sitting at my desk all day like I normally do. I have thousands of concerns for capstone but as long as they're rising I'm in. I don't care about fundamentals, only technicals, morals.... don't have any I just want money and I would love for oil to hit $180....
  • JensGould
can we have a forum just for shit talking?
  • J Monie
Tim, thanks for CPST.. Bought on a dip this morning at 3.16, its already up 10 cents on my 2k shares. I'll let you know what happens with it :)
  • sykeshater1
You're right Tim, I'm sorry. It's, well it's just that my penis is so small :(

Sometimes I get penis envy because I heard you are strapped and I'm a little bitch that lives in a trailer.

Please forgive me for being such a pilfering grab-ass.
  • Matt
Hi Tim - why didn't you wait for cnex to break out on the down side? It's been rising steadily since the 7th within a narrow straight line channel, and hasn't broken the lower boundary yet (whites of their eyes and such). Is there something I'm missing, or have I been reading too many technical analysis books for my own good? :)
  • sykeshater1
Fake sykeshater, are you bangin tim?? You realize you are talking abt another guys size on an internet post?? YOU ARE A TOOL. By the way Tim I saw that chick you had lunch with on WSW, she still doesnt want to invest in your fund you piker hehehheheheh
  • chris
GENC getting run into the ground on credible news!!!!!!
  • Under the radar stocks flying today

check out FORC and KYUS GCOG is running on FORC momo

    http://www.investorslive.com/blog/category/stoc...
  • J Monie I apologize... I was walking down the street to my car months ago and a bus drove by. At the top of the bus in bold writing it said "This bus is powered by a Hybrid Turbine". In Feb and March cpst's order for turbines were coming in every other day but from other countries.

My concern with cpst is capacity? once the orders really start coming in how will they be able to keep up? Until then I would like it to be a slow steady ride, and I would like to the buzz for this company stay conservative. I rarely like to go long on any company but as long as oil is rising so will cpst and other energy plays, oil can't last for ever. Once I see 250% I'll be happy and I won't really care what happens after that.
  • matt, you're dead on, buuuuuuut as u'll read in this new post, on these hard to borrows sometimes u gotta be early just to get shares to short:

    http://www.timothysykes.com/2008/05/13/how-i-br...

remember i'm still new to not having excess capital to fall back on so i'm still learning how to risk no losses whatsoever
  • Bubba's Confabulation
The concept is fantastic. The site gets better as time passes. The site owner's got to have his priorities in order: teach or debate.

Bubba believes confabulation's a good way to learn. Yeah, more charts! Do more charts. Do more technical stuff.

Bubba agrees with #25 and #34.
  • sykeshater1
So you are saying the minions dont have even a rudimentary understanding of sec lending? To the uneducated(read:everyone here), these names are illiquid garbage. Even if you were able to borrow shares to sell, you would be paying a heavy rebate to do so over time, hence you will make less money than you thought on almost every trade. Most of the names listed above are not even borrowable due to the fact they are held by insiders.
  • sykeshater1
I just realized I am such a loser. Sorry everybody...Sorry.
  • sykeshater1
sykeshater1(the real me) will be out at the beach sipping cocktails while you 100 buck warriors waste all day in front of your pc picking up nickels.
  • hater, u prove your ignorance, most, if not all of the above are borrowable and there are no fees associated with borrowing them. just a common misconception
  • sykeshater1
Sure, keep tellin yourself that. I know for a fact they are not. CPST as an example, you think you are makin fed less 25 bps on that pice of crap?? YOu couldnt hold my jock Tim, you would be fetching my lunch if we worked a the same firm.
  • hater, you must write for investopedia, they too mistakenly believe short selling penny stocks is impossible. please dont do any more research, stick to your assumptions.

PS we'd never work for the same firm cuz i never have and never will work for anyone else, you forget, despite my mistakes, i'm still rich bitch!
  • sykeshater1
Yeah, you're rich. You are a hack who could be bought and sold by hundreds of people on the Street who actually know how to trade markets. Now go get my lunch dogboy, smith and wollensky, tell em its for the man!!! Now move!!!!!
  • Max
sykeshater must be a the #1 customer at his bucket shop; he pays extra fees just to short for chrissakes!

    I mean... firm.
  • sykeshater1
Max, you dont know what you are talking about. Hard to borrow securities cost money to borrow, ask whoever you are speaking to for locates. Its a huge money maker for the IB's you ballbag. Go back to waiting tables
  • hater, you're right hard to borrows do cost money, form over 8 years of borrowing these suckers, i've paid about $50 in fees. $50 total over 8 years. welcome to reality, please leave your assumptions at the door
  • sykeshater1
Yeah, because you are trading piker amounts sykes. "Hey guys, i bought 1K worth of stock, sold it for a 20% profit. Yippee" You are a loser, no one in the game of making money would let you breath the same air as them. Trader Monthly, the biggest rag out there wouldnt let you into a party, you are a no-one, a never was. Please go away
  • LOL i must be talkign to randall lane, nobody else is this dumb? i've shorted millions of dollars worth, i went back to my roots to better help me teach...something u and your shitty restaurant (s&w;) loving cronies know nothing about. and to say they're the biggest rag is just absurd...TM is about to go under, actually workin on a post about it right now, funny stuff

PS stop reading gossip mags, if u did research, u'd see me and traitor monthly were talking the week before about me covering the vent for msn money, my guess is they had a bad run in with their drug dealer named tim and took it out on me
  • sykeshater1
Good news Tim, Tool Weekly wants you to do a cover shoot for its "Biggest Tools Under 30" issue, so things are looking up
