Timmayyy’s 20 Totally Tubular Tickers To Trade Through Thinkorswim Today To Thursday

Tags: Hot Stocks, Potential Plays

LGDI
Still on watch for a break under $4, gonna be tough to do from here, today at least, actually consolidated well until the last 5 minutes…still wouldn’t be surprised to see a big 50 cent-$1 upwards spike or at least that’s what I be praying for, oh yah man!

VRML
Mistake of the millennium yesterday, still gonna be volatile

ASIA
Now that’s a breakout…PennyStocking DVD student and upcoming grandmaster Tony Ellis kindly alerted everyone to this and then proceeded to make a quick $1,200 in 3 minutes…That’s right, the DVD preaches that you should these pieces of junk on breakouts, too—just as I did with COIN back a few months ago during a live radio interview

CSIQ
Trying to do the same kind of breakout—doesn’t interest me in the least, would require waaaaay too much precious buying power

SUNV
Finally a stock that doesn’t require much buying power—but it does waste a precious trade, a double jewww yahhhh f$%# you to my friends over at the SEC for that one! Volume’s fading though…gotta crack $1.25 to have any chance

UTVG
Nice Gradual reversal yesterday, I was definitely interested, but nowhere near close to having enough buying power

NCEN
Tryin to breakout of multi-day base…gotta get volume up more

GTE, NGAS and BEXP
Oil plays breaking out, tooooo slow for me

GETC
Damn! When I posted this one yesterday morning, I had little idea, I’d be calling the top, but that is why I have the dark gifttttt

PDO
Right back near its highs again, getting asked about it a lot, here’s what I think: I have no idea! Too much consolidation and too many shorts in it to be a quick reversal, probly a 60% chance of a breakout above $9…odds not high enough for me to get all excited about, but I’m watching

IAR and RHD
Earnings breakout, ignore

CNOA
CEO bys stock, think it’s undervalued, coulda woulda shoulda spent the money on promoters instead of some pissing-into-the-ocean-of-sellers-type act…if I was a shareholder, I’d sue

CNEH
Breaking out of multi-month base—gotta take out $4.50 for true breakout, last time it went from 50 cents to $4.50, so now $4.50 to……that is the question, might try to buy some if I have the buying power and none of the shorts look ideal.

XCO
Great technical breakout above $24, solid intraday risers, too, too bad I have no buying power to waste on such small % moves

SNG
Only the first day runup, poor history of big reversals, usually too gradual and as you saw
on my trades yesterday I use all my capital

SIX and NLS
Wake me when they get volatile—I mean VRML and LGDI volatile cuz that’s what I play! Stop trying to scalp and squeeze in 10-20 cent gains, your risk-reward sucks

IAR on the move again, does it have steam left or it is going to go much higher from here?

    May 7th, 2008 at 10:22 am

shorted 1300 VRML at 3.75, a little too early, definitely…but short sellers are gonna be ore aggressive today cuz they know what kind of downside there is

I still prefer Interactive Brokers’ interface to TOS. BTW, trading is so much better with multiple screens. I’m loving my new pair of LG 19″ LCD (non-widescreen) monitors.

    May 7th, 2008 at 10:29 am

Anyone getting SQUEEEZEEED by VRML right now? Hey, someone look at IAR it’s spiking right now

    May 7th, 2008 at 10:29 am

whats the strategy on UTVG? Seems like it has fallen alot today early on, should we wait for it to rebound mid-day and short then going into the afternoon fade off?

  11. 51Brewster

    May 7th, 2008 at 10:31 am

IAR! look at its run in the last 20 minutes….eeeeasy $$

  12. 52Davey

    May 7th, 2008 at 10:34 am

Looks like you’re on your own with VRML today, there are no shares at TOS, I thought you got thema all because of your odd 1300 shares.

    May 7th, 2008 at 10:35 am

iar big whoops, up 20 cents over previous high, if u bought on the dip then its 40 cents but then u ere risking a double top. no thanks

  14. 54Brewster

    May 7th, 2008 at 10:36 am

buy hard, then sell off every .20 or so, what a chart

  15. 55Brewster

    May 7th, 2008 at 10:43 am

got it at 4.61, hitting 70% my personal daily quota by 10AM aint bad

  16. 56will_the_thrill

    May 7th, 2008 at 10:44 am

Is anyone watching the supernova at AOB? Looks like it’s comming down now.

  17. 57Davey

    May 7th, 2008 at 10:52 am

With VRML not an option, I’m looking for an entry to take advantage of this spike in LGDI…Don’t like ow SUNV is trading so I probably won’t touch that.

  18. 58novalis78

    May 7th, 2008 at 10:57 am

    IAR dropping

  19. 59timothysykes

    May 7th, 2008 at 10:57 am

LGDI has become boring, very scary for shorts

VRML looking very nice, wall of sellers at $4, fading volume, still up a ton, i want 50 cents to the downside

  20. 60Stoquer1

    May 7th, 2008 at 10:58 am

Shorted Iar @ 5.21 Well see

  21. 61Davey

    May 7th, 2008 at 10:58 am

Short LGDI right here 1500 shares @ 4.39ish

  22. 62YngvaiMalmsteve

    May 7th, 2008 at 11:01 am

Stoquer, I’m long on CHCG right now.

Will, AOB isn’t a supernova…it’s an earnings move

Have to sit out any plays today…I’m long on too many positions and don’t have any buying power today :(

  23. 63Bob the VC

    May 7th, 2008 at 11:01 am

GPCB? So little volume, but huge spike..

  24. 64Dan_O

    May 7th, 2008 at 11:02 am

Davey, if it doesn’t crack will you hold into the close?

  25. 65Davey

    May 7th, 2008 at 11:04 am

No, if it holds up I’ll get out, it’s not an ideal play so I’m not going to stay in if it holds up well.

  26. 66Will

    May 7th, 2008 at 11:06 am

VRML volatile as Hell right now.

  27. 67Davey

    May 7th, 2008 at 11:11 am

What a terrible spread on VRML

  28. 68timothysykes

    May 7th, 2008 at 11:14 am

davey why short LGDI? u risk a big spike and theres very little downside until it goes negative on the day or cracks $4

  29. 69bullpicks6

    May 7th, 2008 at 11:18 am

CPHI clearly out of momo, time to short…

  30. 70Davey

    May 7th, 2008 at 11:19 am

Def. not an ideal play, I won’t risk much, but I liked the crack of 4.40. Which is what we were looking at yesterday, but like I said not ideal, and I won’t risk much.

  31. 71YngvaiMalmsteve

    May 7th, 2008 at 11:20 am

Bulls, why short CPHI? It’s an earnings move, and has more room for upside

  32. 72short shot

    May 7th, 2008 at 11:21 am

    VNDA fade away……

  33. 73Davey

    May 7th, 2008 at 11:26 am

    RTQ 4.28 LGDI coming down

  34. 74Will

    May 7th, 2008 at 11:26 am

    LGDI now below opening

  35. 75novalis78

    May 7th, 2008 at 11:28 am

Stoquer good timing on IAR. I shorted too early…

  36. 76Davey

    May 7th, 2008 at 11:32 am

I hate these BB stocks, it takes too long to get out, I couldn’t even cover at 4.24

  37. 77Stoquer1

    May 7th, 2008 at 11:32 am

Thanks, just couldt get enough to be a great trade Oh well!

  38. 78RGIlles

    May 7th, 2008 at 11:32 am

tim you think still good to enter VRML here?

  39. 79novalis78

    May 7th, 2008 at 11:38 am

just hope the heavy volume does not come back at around 2-3pm. They may just try to push it again…but it’s coming down to 4.90-4.80 def.

UPDATES

May 15, 2008

Yup, by next Monday, everything's gonna be real working-like!

May 15, 2008

PDO, up $4+ today, will teach you not to randomly short strong penny stocks, get in, get out then run...cuz sometimes they squeeze stubborn shorts to death!

May 15, 2008

No ideal short plays today, check out these 2 interviews while we wait for price action perfection

I wish I'd listened to my own rulebook, instead got squeezed for $400 shorting blatant-fraud KYUS too early...someone needs a refresher course this weekend!

I nailed NCOC's 20% rise today in my pre-market post, but I was too biased against buying little breakouts, learn from my mistakes!
