TIM Wednesday Roundup
Posted by Timothy Sykes on Wed 7th of Nov, 2007 05:25:16 PMTIM $12,808.84 (flat on the day, up $393.84 on the week)*
When calculating the $12,805 figure yesterday, I just estimated my commissions, my bad. (Don’t worry haters, just signed up for Covestor so everything will be verified) I didn’t trade today as I didn’t see anything worthy.
Finally! A decent size down day on the markets today—all the major averages d
own 2.5-3%. Maybe all this worrying about the dollar, oil, housing, terrorism, how all movies these days suck, etc. really do signal the end to this 4+ year bull market. Yeah, you noticed that movie line in there, right? It’s because I don’t care where the market is headed and you shouldn’t either! Don’t give into all the psycho-babble of those amateur-wannabe-economist-talking-heads you see on TV and in print everywhere. Whether you’re buying or Short Selling , as long as the market moves one way or the other, you can profit. Just don’t think you have to be a long-term investor—there’s enough people out there practicing that crap, understand it’s okay to be different. Yes, you can be special, too!
Onto today’s action: Just about all the stocks I was watching today were booooooooring: FSLR, SPWR, STP, WWAT, CREG, SYNA (at least it held onto gains for the most part—still waiting for a breakout!), no bounce for the wannabe-bouncers LULU, VDSI (looking cheap?!?!) and CROX, ESLR (nice gap-up followed by topping action) and you know what, tomorrow is a new day and FSLR’s blowout earnings tonight nullifies today’s action as they could the next BIDU/ISRG to break $300 (yeah who cares about $200, it’s already there after-hours, look ahead people…I’ll have more details later tonight.)
China plays got humiliated: BIDU actually finished down for once, CHNR, GSOL (damn, I wish I wasn’t such a wimp on holding my short longer, can you say $400 more in profits on a 100 share short position??!?! Idiot!) and YHOO are all feeling the after effects of their month-long Minnesota Vikings-esque Alibaba-sponsored fiesta. Time to sober up bitches! At least JRJC got upgraded today and finished up nicely as the analyst recognized the company is gonna have blow out earnings so he wants to take credit for getting people in early. (Luckily, subscribers to my new premium newsletter got in ahead of this call)
And last, but definitely least: CYGT finished unchanged, after showing off some continued buying interested at 8.5 cents. Hey, at these prices even bums can afford to buy in and since I bought so many shares at higher prices, I’m not too far off!
Warning: TIM, Timothy Sykes, and the Easter Bunny have positions in CYGT.
Please note that due to factors including low market capitalization and/or insufficient public float, we consider some of these stocks to be small-cap stocks. You should be aware that such stocks are subject to more risk than stocks of larger companies, including greater volatility, lower liquidity and less publicly available information, and that postings such as this one can have an effect on their stock prices.
